He finished the GP season so strong, i think 3rd fastest mx2 rider was almost expected and hopefully aus might see its first world champ next year, 2 boggest surprises for me where that Ferris holeshot his heat and both finals on a 250 against every best 450 in the world and that Roczen and Tomac on 250's beat every 450 by nearly a full minute in there back to back 2nd moto against fresh 450 riders.

How about Tanel Leok finishing 7th in the 3rd moto and posting very fast lap times in both of them? The guy still has it. He always rides great at the MXoN.

that was crazy ken and eli had 49 sec on 3rd place but maybe not 19 laps and almost 2 secs a lap faster than most of the top 5-7 riders

Valentin Guillod.. This years European MX2 champion. Never raced a GP before. Showed some good speed!!

I was amazed by the speed of Tomac in moto 1! Blitzing fast!

I like his attitude too...

Typically Aussie just getting after it and saying yeah i'm getting there but wants more etc.

Love it!

Also really impressed with Big Ken, he came up with the goods in that last moto... Put the hammer down, rode well and got 2nd! He was fucking hauling!

Guillod gets my vote!

Two top ten finishes from three races for the weekend and racing a 350 for the first time.

X2
Further validates the EMX series as a feeder class.

same here- what a great ride in his first race at the top level! that kids got to have some good offers for next season? one to watch for the future!

Big ken was a pleasant surprise in the last race- we all know hes capable of it but he does have a tendency to fade at times. Was great to see him catch and pass dungey, paulin, Searle, nagl and win the des nations singlehandedly for his country in that last moto! I was really pleased for him after a lot of people doubted his selection.

Tommy Searle- great ride! solid both motos (beat dungey twice)- I was pleasantly surprised, hes had a tough mx1 season but now showing the form he was in his last year in mx2

I expected more from dungey- when he started the last moto in 2nd place I thought he might have given cairoli a run for his money but he was untouchable this weekend, made it look easy

Dont forget Ferris pulled alot of 450 on that start on a Yamaha 250F. The bike that alot of people say is old and slow.

I have to agree Big Ken's ride was just awesome. Being 6ft 3" myself, it was great to see a big guy go out and put in a heroic ride.

The Fact that no one is surprised that Cairoli won both moto's shows he has a lot more respect around here than people let on Smile

Guillod would be the biggest surprise for myself, shows the EMX2 class is working.

Other Surprise, Kiwis did not have a finish inside the top 30 Yesterday, I think their best result was a 32nd or 34th from Cooper

Shame waters went down at the start in both motos, 4th was a good result but the Ozzys on the podium would have been cool.

Yep Valentin Guillod was right up there, from EMX banging bars with that kind of company, not many "Rookies" do that!

Nagl-What a holeshot and a ride!!! Didn't see that coming after him struggling recently with his health

Ferris-not much left to say really, that Qualifier was backed up on raceday, looking forward to MX2 next year, there's a bunch of guys in there coming on great Smile

the dixon yami is one of the best bikes in the paddock, can't compare them to stock ponies
