I can understand if you think that it would make for a boring show that no one would want to watch (but I disagree) but not being able to shape a few piles of dirt to allow them to compete safely is a total cop out.

Kudos for experimenting, but the joker lane twist this year was off, but don't know if a change to that would have helped things.
This would be like getting rid of college football, and replacing it with junior high players. No one is going to pay to watch that either.
I think the Amateur system with AX qualifying is better for the upcoming talent. We need to have them skilled and healthy coming into the pro’s and search for opportunities to keep the pro’s healthy as well. This is a long lasting debate unfortunatelly, but with a wide range of idea’s there have to be opportunities to improve this questionmark in SX.
Is it me but do the 2005 track maps for example looked way more raceable and forgiving? And is it right that Canard and Windham are working on safety for riders as well?
Safety. We already are facing a weak field of talent this year, and already have at least 10% of the top 100 out of action. If you lose 5 or 10% of your riders each week, you've got no one left to put on a show.
Talent. I haven't seen anyone disputing the fact that plenty of minibike rider's the world over put a spanking on grown men on the same tracks on a daily basis. The talent pool is immense. There are more SX practice tracks in our local area than you can count on both hands, and training camps and rider schools.
Pit Row
Superminiriders are too young to be racing competetive supercross at the age of 12-16.
Not only the high risk of getting injuryd also the extreme high risk of being burnt out even before turning pro.
I say no to this, supercross and outdoors nationals belongs to the big boys for now.
Also: How the heck are all the families gonna afford go racing supercross and outdoors nationals with kids at the age of 13-14-15...?
Its gonna sergregate the sport and true talents will be wasted on the long term.
Post a reply to: Supermini's a big hit. Why not have them in SX?
