Supercross Ride Day Idea

I think some stops, if not all, should have a Public Ride day on Sunday after the supercross races. Divide the day into 30-minute blocks (25 min ride time, 5 minutes to clear for the next group), 20 riders per block, and charge $200-$300 per person to ride a professional supercross track. I know a lot of people that would pay at least that much to ride a real supercross track. I know there would be a TON of liability involved, but I'm sure they could make it happen. How much would you pay for a 25-minute session on a supercross track?

I like the idea of it, but as you said, the liability would be huge. Pro riders get broken off badly riding Supercross, so if you threw 20 local track heros out there, you’d need all the ambulances from a 100 mile radius! I wouldn’t pay anything to ride a full SX track, because it wouldn’t be any fun for me. Rolling around, which is what I’d say most riders who aren’t pro would be doing on a SX track, would be pretty boring. I just think Supercross should be left to the top 1% of riders and the rest of us should enjoy watching the races! Now a tamed down SX track, that would be a different story!

I rode a SX track at a training facility in Georgia, and made it 1 1/2 laps before I snapped my ankles.....

Amateurs and moto suspension on SX is no bueno

If the track was done like it was back in the day for Amateur day Supercross it may work. Everyday Joes have NO business on a full scale Supercross track.

Go race the Daytona supercross amateur day. Good stuff. Good fun.

Pontiac Michigan amateur day after the supercross was always pretty fun. They knocked the whoops down some and made the big triples into a double, but still fun.

Yes it was fun. In the 1980's they didnt make any changes to the track and you had 60s and 80s out there. first time i went up the over/under it was like riding up a wall. Same for the section that went in the seats.

I rode there in 98 and 99, both years went up into the seats. I only remember one of the years having an over under.
