I need help understanding this, beyond the fact that Russians are involved

Or perhaps you might imagine an even better caption (original caption: a"Seals dressed in military uniforms swim during a show marking the 70th anniversary of the end of World War Two, at an aquatic park in the Siberian city of Irkutsk, Russia, on May 9, 2015.")

They were dressed and trained before May 9th which is a day Russians celebrate victory over Nazi Germany. Just a publicity stunt. You don't understand their culture. It's beyond bizarre.

I understand their culture as much as it can be understood, and I know the importance of it. It's just a head scratcher. How drunk do you have to be to dress up seals with toy (?) guns.

You don't need to be drunk just need to live in Russia for extended time period.
Russian parliament tried to ban selling of U2 new album just because on a cover was U2 drummer with his 18 year old son without shirts. They find it a gay propaganda.
They did the same with Apple products just because Cook announced he's gay.

I often look in a non moto section and see what threads are started there and right after I check FOX news website. You can easily see who lives under influence of certain propaganda.
One American lived in Russia and he did an experiment where he watched only russian propaganda channels. After six month he was so fucked up it was hard to come out of it.

The Russians are definately fucked up but who isn't? Even in the good old USA we have just enough freedom to keep us distracted from the wiener they're constantly trying to slip us. Russia is probably heaven compared to North Korea. Those poor bastards are well and truly buggered.
