Stuck in a rut

For anybody that was wondering, here is a pic of the rut they were mentioning during the broadcast. Both Tomac and Gaines (and a few others) got stuck in a bottomless rut in the turn just before the announcers tower. Also, just for fun, a picture of the people taking pictures of Tomac!

There was another rider down just behind Gaines who seemed to be pretty severely injured. I saw it happen and it was nasty. Anyone know if he's ok and who it was?
