If you have an enclosed trailer with AC power, I keep mine plugged in with a dehumidifier running inside and it’s fully stocked. The dehumidifier keeps things as fresh as they would be in a closet where I live. I keep Tools, common spare parts, gear, etc... all I have to do is load the bike, throw in a gas can and unplug it from the house and I’m gone.
Side note, due to value, I also keep it insured, plus I use a built in GFCI setup plugged into a GFCI circuit on the house. Never had an issue, and never had to borrow gear, tools, oil, whatever.
If that’s not in the cards, make the best gearbag you can, keep it dry, apply tear offs at the teack only, and you’re fine. Don’t put stuff in the gearbag until it’s 100% dry too..
