Lechien, what a bad ass shot. Guess not riding for two months has made me misty, but that gives me wood. Not that spectacular perhaps, but still love it. Anyone know the track? Had thought originally Carlsbad, but too much green grass for there, no?

Great picture! I can't imagine some of the riders today being 'ok' with such a non-groomed track.

It is Paul Malin at Foxhill moto park, near Swindon in the UK. I was there, Malin was awesome that day.

That's what a track looks like when you don't disk them 3 feet deep and put 100 gallons of water on them. Much better in my opinion.

Was just posted as Lechien, didn't look too closely. Don't care who it is, that is just a really fucking cool pic. No worries, Tony.
Just looked more closely at it, no distinguishable name on the jersey. Looking at the silencer though, is that a 500? Sure is big for a 250, or were noise restrictions already tight back in that day?

Look at the braking bumps (almost "braking whoops!!") leading into that turn. Blink

Holy shit, that landing looks harsh! Nothing like landing in the chop, downhill and hard on the throttle.

100 gallons? for watering what the starting gate?? Its more like 2000 gallons before the day starts and 1000 gallons throughout both sets of motos.

Looks like Malin and Thorpe were on the same team. Different preference for bike though.

Thorpe raced the perimeter framed bike in 90 but I guess didn't like it.
