JS7 can still win races, plain and simple. He's had a bad year, it happens and he'll bounce back. Malcolm is probably smart taking the summer off. He's too big for that 250 outdoors and would be at a disadvantage. Setting himself up for the 450 is probably a smart career move.

Here's to hoping JS7 can stay healthy. Anyone wishing the opposite is a tool.

I'm still assuming that JS7 will not be at Hangtown. Not one video of social media of him on the bike. Plus Racer X has a article of 450 riders looking to bounce back from supercross. Not one mention of James in that article as well.

Man, I'm selfishly disappointed Mookie won't be racing outdoors.

He knows better than anyone else what is the best for him. He didn't race outdoors last year and look where he ended up in SX this year. As long as he puts in the work, which I'm sure he will, he's going to be a strong contender in 2017. Until then, cheers!

TBH, I think taking it easy with no pressure on the 450 Outdoors would have been a better preparation for SX.

Well it looks like from the Yosh video on the home page that JS7 is in for Hangtown, How long he last well that is anybody's guess. Would just kike to see him finish some moto's and get better as the year goes on.

Bingo

Best case scenario they both train together harder than they've ever trained before and come back swinging for 2017. It could be both of their last chances.

Where is Will Hahn riding next year? Or Jake Weimer? 250SX championships are not a guarantee of anything. If James retires does Mookie continue his upward career trajectory? How many guys not named Ken are competitive on teams that are not a factory team? Assuming Suzuki and JGR rides are off the table for him will he be replacing Seely/Canard, Hahn, Pourcel, Marvin/Wilson next year? If he isnt signed to a factory team next year will it happen for 2018 or 2019 when he is older and judged off his 450 results. Will his standing improve? No doubt he could have many years of being an also ran in the 450 class but if he wants to be a contender things need to happen in the next 2 years. If he gets on his brothers program i dont see that happening. And for the record I've never won a 250sx championship so I dont know anything anyway.

I disagree with everything except hoping he can stay healthy. JS7 can't win anymore. And how anyone thinks that Malcolm taking off an entire series will make someone better is beyond me. He may come back next year, struggle in the beginning then get better as the series goes on but that's it.

I really hoped that James would come back and stay healthy for an entire season and compete for wins. I've been saying that for the past year. Unfortunately it's just not happening.

I don't care if he races the outdoors or not... I don't thinks it cool to miss lead your fans.... If he doesn't want to, fine...

Look at the 450 class next year outdoors... If everyone of these guys are healthy which one of these riders does he
beat?

Dungey?
Tomac?
Roczen?
Webb?
Martin?
Anderson?
Bagget?
Barcia?
Moose?
Good Luck either way...

SX only sure helped more than a few guys extend their careers....but don't let facts get in the way of your guys' stories.

Ken is on a factory team, they even share the same damn building as Yosh. How many times has he said the team is a FACTORY effort?! And mookie has skills indoors which is more valuable than motocross now days, take Seely for example! All facts

As great as James was I think his winning days are over. It's just my opinion of course. McGrath was around James age when he stopped winning.

If he was 25-29 I'd say yea, he had an off year. But he's had too many hard hits. He's on the wrong side of 30, and if the Honda rumours for next year are true, he'll have an all new bike to test.

I like Malcolm I have even riden with him in the past James I do not know . IMHO I do not think Malcolm will win a race again and James who knows what's going on with him . There is no denying though that they both have some serious talent . But it takes heart desire and talent with luck.

I hope he can run top five, I'm sick of the fans making excuses for him, finish what you start or quit for good...
