Showed it in the heat. Wish the knee wasn't injured. The gear setup was sweet!!

Can understand why people continuously hate on him. He's one of the greatest talents this sport has ever seen.

don't listen to these guys, your point is valid and i definitely agree.

James has shown that he barely has 10 good main event laps at "the pace" of the front runners. 15 tops!! why you think he only wins heat races and practices. Sure hes willing to go all out when he doesnt have to prove anything but main event time its always something.... one thing after another. Face it....James has set the bar pretty low for himself at the moment. His competition is just simply stomping sand up his ass when it counts!

Heat race with two different mind sets...did anyone listen to RV after race? He said something about not putting himself on a pedestal w expectations...ala use your head ride fast but smart. Rv has shown many times now when he needs to he is every bit as fast as James. He was matching James for tenths at A1 before the last lap tear....there really is no one guy go out n crush it anymore tenths are separating 5guys starts and mistakes are where it's at.

Me 3. I think some guys are missing the point. Yeah it was just a heat. But we are also talking about a guy with a blown out knee, who prob can't ride or train much during the week, and regularly busts out the fastest lap every week. Bubba still has plenty in the tank to handle these guys. I just wish he would have tried to get healthy for outdoors where he's just as fast

I'm glad we finally got to see those two go at it like that. Hopefully they will eventually go at it for a full 20. I can't believe we still haven't seen that yet and they've been racing each other since 09.

I would bet a week's pay that, if that was the main, RV would've found a way around James. Not that James wasn't riding great, but...

I vote for a, Heat, fastest lap AMA title? Hell with the overall title!

I bet James would have more people behind him if the ones that were on the bandwagon already weren't such idiots. He is likeable and rides hard, yet when he fails epicly I take solice in the fact he is still is making bank and the fanniacs are heartbroken. Schadenfreude isn't healthy yet James big sallary helps me justify it. He's getting paid while his fans get the beatdown on here they deserve.

I think your right if James had red background and wasn't 79 points out... Rv is smart and James has nothing to loose at this point he's riding that edge...that's why he had those two get offs in practice . My 2 cents

No doubt JS is consistently fast but RV only has to wick it up and beat 2 riders right now Dungey and Millsaps. I don't see JS being one of those threats this year.

Yes. You have half a brain. That is why you know Stewart would have won. Those of us with whole brains know that heat races don't pay points, and that the sport is unpredictable.Wink

I'm a fan but not a fanboy but gotta laugh how people say he can't do laps and out of shape and so on.. He rode hangtown and freestone and a hard pace from the start to the checkered , he's hurt right now and he is slowly picking up the race pace now that he's able to ride some during the week. Noway is he dominant in that class but he's still a contender for wins once he gets some more training and confidence to push it for 20. This is so far a great year !
