I think he just came out with a great new idea for gear. I love the bib idea. Looks like comfortable stuff.

If you look just to the right of the throttle grip/housing you can see a the clasps of what I would then assume to be an electric start button.

It's so they know which way to turn him after he hits the dirt.

Shorai batteries are nice. I put one in my KTM 3lbs ligter than the lead acid that comes with them.

Why would it have a kick starter and an electric start? Wouldn't they want to save weight one way or the other?

That could be the kill switch rerouted so it can't easily be hit.

I imagine in case the electric start fails for whatever reason.

In regards to the RG3, I find it intriguing and a cool back story that the guy who RD brought over to help make the KTMs competitive is no longer there and is now working with Stewart's team trying to get his bike working better. Especially considering Stewy has seemingly been struggling with setup for a couple years now.

What is the reason for that, just out of curiosity?

Lots of teams run the kill switch on the right side because they run a map switch on the left
Easier to hit the switch for the map on the left hand side while riding, allows them to still have throttle control

Couple of my bikes have adjustable ignition maps so it frees up space but mainly in the event that you don't get your hand back on the grip after a tear off pull you don't mistakenly grab and kill the bike. It could be just slid over closer to the crossbar but I just move it over to the otherside.

That makes sense. The map switch would be a lot more convenient in the place of the kill switch on the left.

Plus as a bonus, having it on the throttle side makes it harder for Alessi to try and reach over and shut your bike off.
