James told Erin "he feels like he has been lied too" just to get him to come to the nationals!(about the MXON)

I thought his Unadilla results were going to determine his place on the team. They didn't even give him a chance. I would feel the same too!

Maybe he should just go back home and pout.If he really wanted to be on the MXON team then maybe he shouldnt have signed a SX only contract.

All he can do now is use it for motivation. It will be tough to run with Dungey today anyway unless they get that bike set up better.

Short wont have anything for him as they get through these next few races, there's already precedent set in replacing a rider for one that's more "deserving"

Maybe Red Bull can put the heat on while Short can't even keep James in sight.

SX only doesn't matter, wouldn't matter if RC was the fastest option and came straight from his back yard to Colorado.

I think it is safer for him to stay in Orlando cruising in his boat and driving in his Lambo.

He did not look comfortable at all.

I'm amazed that he came back at the track that's nearly killed him twice.

Sx only contract or not, he has been hurt. So even if he signed for outdoors, he was injured and wouldn't of been racing...

Powers that be lie to James???

Someone calling DC and the AMA out?? HA!

Not too much of an excuse. I think what he was pointing out was how unstable Stewart's bike looked compared to the Suzukis. Check out my 450 theory blog.

And the reason he may seem a little not there emotionally, is because, well, he's probably bummed about the MXdN thing, and he also just got beat. When you go your whole life dedicated to something that you never lose at (unless you crash, or race RC), losing, regardless of coming off an injury or not, has to be a tough pill to swallow.

Not sure why you think he doesn't want to be there. He was all smiles on the podium. He gave credit to Dungey and Desalle. To me it looks like he's pretty pumped to be back on the bike.

If Short beats him these next few races you're right, he is more deserving. If not, and that's a strong possibility, the wrong guy is going.

Who says that the fastest rider deserves to be picked? Ivan wasn't the fastest last year and he proved to be the right choice.

Short is racing the outdoors and therefor is more deserving. If James had planned to race outdoors and was hurt, came back today and was put on the team that's one thing. Coming back only to be put on the team is not deserving of representing the USA. It's not the SX des Nations. Stewart is no more deserving than RC, neither of them belong on the 2010 team.

Pretty much spot on.

Stewart shouldn't be handed the spot now just because he wants it, he should have to earn it just like everyone else.

I'd much rather have the consistency of Short going to the MXoN.

You guys see if you can find anything that suggests anyone other than the fastest riders from each country are picked. That's how it's always been until James couldn't just admit he didn't want to go to Italy.

Wasn't too long ago RC kicked Brownie off the team for a more deserving, faster guy. Sucks for some but that's how it is, you can't even describe what most deserving is if it's no longer the fastest guys.

Canard earned his spot in three races.

If he is in fact back JUST to be picked for the Des Nations team.....then he lied to all his fans that he told was the only reason he was coming back, I'd say the ultimate proof he was coming back for the spot on the Dees Nations team them he wont be at any of the following rounds....maybe his wrist will strangely start bothering him cough cough...that would be indicitive of his real intentions to come back.

I dont think that is why he came back though and will come out swinging in Moto 2 but he definitely needs to make some adjustments to the bike. It was squirly as hell out there and I dont think L&M have ANY outdoor settings since that was the first race any of their bikes has ever competed in and also they dont have any other teams to feed of with settings so they must be a little behind the 8 ball on that.

Post a reply to: Stewart looked like he just didn't want to be there!
