Watch it a couple more times. Marvin just caught him at the wrong time and then made a mistake. He was already past Stewart when he messed up that jump.

Dungey got through the exact same situation without any problem.

Emig said it a races before, lapper on blue hold your line. Stew held his line. MM just crying.

He really should have checked up and rolled/doubled through that section.

He was never in the way. 100% agree with the OP, Marvin just came up short in turn causing him to go sideways and miss the second triple.

He was all the way on the left side of the track as it was.
What, you want James to pull up in the middle of a series of doubles ?

Looks like he was trying to join the race even though he was a lap down to Dungey and Musquin. I wonder if he knew it was Dungey and wanted to race with him despite the blue flags because of A1?

Yeah he put himself in the middle of the berm fucking up Marvin's line, James wasn't battling anyone and should of moved well out of the way before that 180 turn.

Stewart did nothing wrong. As Ralph said earlier, "blue flag means the leaders are coming around, hold your line, don't go to the left & don't go to the right". Stewart held his line to left as he was supposed to. Marvin cased the triple in that section and lost control going all over the track crossing in front of Dungey. Marvin gave that one away

JS7 went to the inside and Marvin goes case!!! I am a MM fan and wanted him to hold on to that one but he cased that all by himself. Good save though.

Looked like Marvin cleared him too the right, but Stew still should of just moved over.

I give Stewart credit for finishing the race, but he should have got out of the way. There was a race going on he wasn't part of it......

All I can say is Stewart doesn't have much experience with getting lapped and being shown the blue flag.

Steward clearly held his line, which is what you're supposed to do on a blue flag, not stop in the middle of the track. What more could he have done?

so all the blue flags before and after the finish line he couldn't check up? So he hammers it through the whoops, what is he in 15th at this point. He obviously knew guys were coming up on him. imo he had the opportunity to check up and not interfere

As a Stewart fan I must say That Stewart should know better. I can not help but think that Stewart seeing Dungey battling with Marvin had something to do with it. I hope we dont see Stewart start messing with Dungey.

Stewart had received multiple blue flags by the time Marvin made the mistake. The start straight was the perfect opportunity to pull out of the way. He didn't do it. Stewart is in the wrong here and that's all there is to it.

he sure was in the wrong place , at the wrong time.... he was on the track in the main

Dude, you missed 6 rounds, and you are 14th, the blue flags have been waving for 1/4 of a lap , what does it take for you to realise you arent in the points race?

Dont ever complain about lappers again, if you ever get the chance to , that is.

Dungey was embarrassed for you ..

You're supposed to move out of the way if you can. He had opportunities to do so and didn't.

Stew was right in front of them from the wall to that point. He had 3 turns, even the start straight to get completely out of the way. Yes Marv made a mistake, but if Stew isn't there to mess him up in the turn, he doesn't make it. You're 14th, you have 5 seconds of empty track in front and behind you. Get the hell out of the way

Yes that was textbook of how to go a lap down. The AMA should show that to all riders to demonstrate the proper way to get lapped.....

Emig's analysis was spot on.

James 100% at fault.

"Zero track awareness", the Stewart trait.

He went inside-inside-inside going into a narrow 180 turn. Didn't seem to slow Dungey up very much did he?

hey, even my wife who just casually watches the races stated that Stewart was an idiot for trying to race the leaders. He got the blue flag 2 straights before the finish and then ran them high in the finish line corner and raced them through the whoops..... that is obstruction. I agree, Stewart is an idiot.

He had two straighy aways and plenty of opportunity to back off and let the leaders by and to not interfere. He got in the way and he didn't have to. Yes Marvin could of handled it better but James sure didn't make it easy and got in the way.

Don't case the jump and you win. Simple as that

If it wasn't Stewart there wouldn't already be 3 threads. Carry on. Tommorow you'll all be crying about how to sport is better with him on the gate and how you admired him coming up from the amateurs. Then he'll mention his wife on the podium and you'll get offended because it took him so long to do it. KTM ended Stewarts season before it started. If the worse thing that happens is a 1-2 finish so be it. Marvin proved that there's wins coming soon.
