Much respect for both riders. I want Blake to keep strong in the points, but if he has to sit out a couple rounds and be on the podium the rest of the year I think it is worth the tradeoff.

Stew.........just finish and build from there my man.

Good luck but it seems like a really bad idea for both of them.

Well, I'm sure they'll change their minds after reading your post. I think they were just waiting for your ultimate approval before doing anything, and went out to practice just in case you gave them the go-ahead to race.

Well, I'm sure you responding to me like a douchebag will make me rethink ever expressing an opinion again.

Great news, I hope both can race, score some points, and continue healing.

I guess I didn't realize that Blake broke his collarbone and still got back up and finished the moto at the opener.

These guys really are tough.

When I broke mine, I nearly went into shock from the pain. It was months before I got a full nights sleep and a year and a half before that side of my body felt fully normal again. It sucked. The mere thought of riding a week after a CB break is nauseating to me, plate or not.

Puuuuuuuusssssaaaaaaayyy.

Serious note. Broken the old collar bone two times. Beyond impressed and baffled by Blake. Unreal. I could not imagine getting a plate and doing this specially at GH.
As for James.......Cool, I guess.

Well, any ortho type doc would tell would tell you bones need 2 weeks to begin to knit. Relying on a few screws to carry the load is risky. Doesn't seem to be wort it in the long run but I don't have to make a living racing.
If he can gut any pain out he is a hero.

Everyone is different. I broke mine and raced again in 3 weeks though it was still sore. I was still laying on my back to sleep for a month or so.

Per Stan Van Gundy quote. Don't tell me how much you want to fight to win !!! Show me you can win and how hard you are willing to fight for it !!!!

JS7 two seconds faster then short in practice. Now watch short go bust his ass to finish both motos. Tell me again how much fight is left in JS7 anymore ?? He does not need the money or the pain anymore !!!

Sounds like he's going to need to get it fixed before he can really race hard. End of season. Get it fixed for 2017 season.
