It’s really unfortunate to have to announce this news, but due to the logistics surrounding
our 2012 team building efforts, our rider, James Stewart, will not be able to compete in
the upcoming Monster Energy Cup.
This decision was obviously a hard one, but it was made after going over the various
factors associated with keeping our program as a top-level team in the AMA
Supercross/Motocross racing categories.
“I had a real tough decision to make,” said James. “I want to race as bad as anyone, but in
the best interests of my team and the 2012 season, I have to make decisions that not
everyone will like or understand. All I can do is stay true and be honest with you all and
ask for your patience and understanding. As soon as there is news about my 2012 plans,
you'll know!”
We all would have loved to be out there competing at this event; but the consistent focus
of our camp this off-season has been centered on the preparation for the 2012 racing
season. And so this choice had to be made. Apologies to all the fans and sponsors, but at
the same time, we have to thank you all for your continued enthusiasm and support.

Kinda sucks!
The Shop
seriously tho. why do people care? its 1 race. its not like he said he isnt racing the entire sx season.
villo was going to ruin stewart's mood by smoking him anyway
All I wish is that his PR team wouldn't treat us like idiots. Be regular and consistent. He's all over the place and last minute with it. Its frustrating and I think it prohibits me from being a fan. I can't even argue on his behalf anymore. He's becoming a big clown. A joke!
I just wish he'd be honest...."listen, dudes, I ain't racing any races that aren't a supercross in America. I just don't want to. I'm rich, I've made all the money I need and I'm only racing supercross. Get over it". I'd like that.
Pit Row
why go out and risk your life and limb if you've got enough to chill forever??
Dungey jumped to KTM for a reason..he ain't tryin to bang nails with his pops.
Real Talk.
Today, no one will dare step foot off their compound unless they are 100% prepared. Anything less and they will be barbequed by fans and media. Sure sucks the fun out of it all.
I miss his Kawi days when he had contracts, raced a lot and I was even fortunate enough to catch some in person. I miss seeing him out there...
I agree it makes little sense to go out there before signing with anyone. As he negotiates with Yamaha and Suzuki, what does he ride? Whichever he chooses will harm negotiations with the other.
I'll say this though, if he is talking about riding Yamaha's I'm guessing that contract wasn't as easy to get out of as he thought.
I mean it makes a lot of sense to work hard to get out of a contract because you dislike the bike.....and then end up riding the same bike again with a new team?
