RacerX tweeted that he's out for the night after not feeling well after the first timed practice. Probably a good idea for him.

Saved an endo coming out of the whoops. Didn't look good after that. Mostly just rolled around.

Good decision. As much as I want James out there I want him 100% and after last weekend he obviously isn't 100%

Yep, I supported his decision to come out and try and I support his decision to sit it out. I'm not sure the Stewy of '08-'10 would have made the same decision.

I think it might be time to hang it up for good, how many concussions has he had? There's a limit to what you can have and continue to stay healthy.

Should have stayed home. Honestly glad he had a close call in practice without crashing apparently and wised up and realized he wasn't 100%.

I don't understand the people mad or yelling nooo.... Dude it's a concussion, he has had more concussions than 95% of any rider in the main event on any given night. Out of all the shit I don't know about concussions I DO know they get worse as they accumulate and it doesn't take a brain surgeon to guess taking a week off at minimum was a good idea.

Rest up James, come back when you're ready, not when your fans wish you were ready.

I take that agreement very seriously coming from someone named Dirtnapper. I have enjoyed giving the fanboys shit over the years but honestly, he has been trying to live up to the expectations for at least the last 5 years with more yardsales than results. It wasn't necessarily his fault last week but it's about the first time it wasn't, some of the things like the fall at the MEC just aren't the things a rider of his caliber does, he's not mentally there like he was 10 years ago.

There was a guy posting here a couple of days ago that made the same argument, but there were some people who were upset by that.

Everyone has a different tolerance....... There is a scientific standard and if he passes the standard its up to HIM after that. Everyone is different. Its really ignorant to think that everyone has the same body/mind.

I had a spiral fracture of my Tibia in high school, and the doctors said it would take 12 months before I could wrestle at the same level again... 6 months later I was running 6 miles before wrestling practice everyday, and went on to win Area and place 5th in state 3 months later. I was cleared to wrestle "at my own pace" after 6 months, and the rest was up to me.... so I went for it.

No one is the same... they set standards according to statistics, and the rest is up to the person.

Dr. PhilG would disagree.

Glad we have the couch doctors here to set everyone straight.

Good call Stew. And Suzuki. If he doesn't feel right he is endangering himself and others. The championship is over for him. Now he can come back and just go for race wins when they present themselves. Hope he comes back and has a good season and runs at the top.

Great decision! I know it sounds kind of corny but as an almost 50-year-old father I was genuinely concerned for the guy.

Probably a wise choice on James' part. No matter what anybody else says, if he's saying he's not able...better safe than sorry.

He needs to go to the MXGP's and lay down some heavy wood on those slackers. Just like RV did... Er would have.. Almost.
