It was Kevin Windham. He said it on a very early Pulp MX Show. I don’t know the episode number and I know I’ll rightfully get hammered for not being able to present the episode number and time stamp but I was listening to some of the early shows a while back and stumbled upon it.

Does anyone remember hearing Windham talk about this? I’d like to find the episode again.

After they showed the multiple replays of the bike going into the nets and the Rider into the Pole I was thinking Steve must be screaming so loud his neighbors heard him and he probably tossed a load! Woohoo

Yes, he's very proud of His Nets and rightfully so when it comes to rider safety.

I wonder how much the AMA paid him for his idea that they stole? Laughing

I’m just glad they are there. That HRC bike would have been in the bleachers if not!

Same with Bogle when he hit them after a quad section a few years back!

Matthew was able to push it pretty hard on his platform, but who really cares?

There’s no doubt they’ve saved a few riders from weeks of injuries.

The jealousy and hate for a guy that does nothing but give back to the sport is crazy. He’s one of the nicest people to talk too in the pits if you catch him, gives money to privateers, hooks people up on the show all the time, and is just an all around good dude. They might not have been his idea but he’s the reason they’re out there right now. And the only one who has put up the money for more!
