Its kind of nuts we pay attention to this guy. Good on him but he gets like 25th place and hes one of the most famous riders out there haha just because he rides a 2 stroke. Who woulda thought. Great job marketing himself though jeez hes a genius.

That was fucking awesome! Can really tell how hard those 450's pull just on the start alone. They would at least have a fighting chance in the 250 class. With the rules now.......not much of a chance at all for the guys on the 2 strokes.

really what put him on the map was the scoring a point on a two stroke. but his personality is what made him grow, this sport doesnt have many people that stand out and he has flair that attracts a lot of people.

i just hope he gets comfy on the 250 to do some damage. with the class so light up top, he should be able to nab some points towards the midway point

Stank is the king of IDGAF. Hopefully he and Alldrege get some better results this week.

Dude is a legend. You can hear just how much the fans love having him out there. It doesn't matter if he's all alone or in a battle, people are always cheering their ass off for him.

Love it.

Now that AX is gone I hope he gets help and puts something together for SX 2019.

Sidenote: We have a couple rounds in Canada where the US series has off. Stankdog should cross the border and put that 250sx to use in the 250 class. He could hit Gopher Dunes on July 14th before making his way to Spring Creek the following weekend and/or hit up the Deschambault round on August 4th before making his way to Unadilla the following weekend. Would love to see him up here in the 250 class. Someone needs to pass him that message and make it happen. Oh and grass should be legal in Canada by July 1st lol.

If you aren't top 10, you've got to differentiate more to be noticed, same in business.

I would like someone do "speed and style" for instance, even on a 4 stroke. That guy would be popular too!

I hope Steinke gets some good support because he is doing GREAT to the brands he is using.

Awesome video, thanks !

Didn't Canada make the rule only Canadians could race the 2 stroke?

That rule was under the old series promoter. New owners have different rules. I posted them in the 250 vs. 250 thread but I'll copy/paste them here.

250 2-stroke rules under the new series are as follows.

In the 250 pro class, Intermediate/"B" riders and pro's are eligible to race the 250 two stroke with the exception of past 250 and 450 champions and/or the Top 5 series finisher in the 450 class from the past 5 years.

In the 450 pro class, all pro riders are eligible to race the 250 two stroke.

Additionally in the 250 class, two stroke displacement is from 125cc to a maximum of 250cc.

In the 450 class if you choose to ride a two stroke you're eligible to have up to 285cc.

A combination of boring and stroking to achieve the maximum allowable displacement in each respective class is permitted under the new series rules.

That is great, thanks for sharing and thanks Racer X !!! The two-stroke being lighter, lets Steinke really charge into the downhills. He has a better chance in this class.

The power's that be knew they made a mistake 10 years ago, and continue to do nothing.

I love this dude, although my opinion is he rides the 125 better on the pipe than the 250. No ways could I do better, but that 125 was wide open on the verge of blowing up all race! The 250 sounds a bit more labored and out of the red band.

Go get 'em Stanky.

really he did not really ride hard enough..he looked like he was going thru the motions...his start was poor..and the sound of his bike tells the tail...

I think he's trying, you don't qualify on a 250 smoker without trying. The start and the uphill showed the truth, he's down at least 10 horse I'd guess, and more importantly he's down on tourque, did I spell that right?? Does anyone know what's been done to his bike? I'd did sound like it was a midrange motor, where my 13sx likes the rpm's. I'd love to know what mods have been done to his bike, I'd hope his motor has been worked over by mitch

My guess is +50cc.....ergo "midrange" motor sound (versus your 250 revver).

Im sure he is making good money out there as well....He made a comment about finishing 29th and still making more than the 10th place guy. I know his bike supplier had a few riders on payroll a paying them very well yearly salary to ride/race. I don't know if he is on that program now but it wouldn't surprise me.

Just imagine getting paid 50 a year to race with the goal of having fun, not results oriented.
