I’m half tempted to pull the trigger on one. I bought my boys the Sedna Jumpfun 12 and 16 balance bikes a few years ago and they’ve been fantastic. They are by far the most used “toys” my kids have. They’re still running strong and I really wish they made a 20 inch bike. Unfortunately they don’t so I guess that’s why I’m considering the Stacyc 20 for my 9 year old. On one hand it’s crazy to spend over $3k on an electric balance bike. On the other hand I know he will ride it almost daily and it’ll get its use.

Before I do this, does anyone know of any comparable e-bikes to the Stacyc 20?

And for the guys who will just come in and talk about how stupid these are and just buy the kids a regular bicycle or a 50.. please, spare me. No one cares. He has a nice mountain bike and a TTR 110. Both of which he can ride great. He loves the electric balance bike more than anything 🤷‍♂️

I’ve got two 8 year olds that will be 9 in less than 2 months and am in the same pickle. They love their 16” Stacycs but they’re too big for them and I can’t spend $5,000 to get two of the 18” models, let alone $6,500 for two of the 20” models.

There are these 2 wheeled contraptions that have things called pedals.

I hear there are some good ones for sale cheap.

I’ve had their Jumpfuns for 3 years now. My 8 year old has beat the balls off that thing and it’s still going strong. It’ll be handed down to my 4 year old if it’s still running when it’s time. But yeah, I really don’t know what to do about my 8 year old. He’s the tallest kid in his class, so as you can imagine he’s very big on his 16” Jumpfun. Those Stacyc 20’s sure are sweet though.

Same boat here with a 9 and 6 year old. The 20's look so bad ass but it blows my mind that they are $3k. I bought a 110 instead since he's not trying to race and about to get him a 24" mountain bike so little brother can take his 20" mountain bike. I'm just not entertaining the Stacyc thing anymore, like your kids mine rode the crap out of theirs but the price is just too insane to consider for me.

Yeah he has a TTR 110 as well. He rides here and there but not as much as I had hoped. Our yard is about 5 acres but he gets bored riding around here himself. He always loves going out and riding some trails with me but we don’t get out nearly as much as I’d like unfortunately. He will ride his electric balance bike as long as the battery allows him to. I hate that they’re over $3k. I’m not cheap at all and really don’t shy away from spending my money… but $3k for an electric balance bike is excessive. A 110 dirt bike is right around that price point brand new. If the Stacyc was somewhere in the ball park of $1500 I’d already have one.

My kids had no interest in 2 wheel stuff at all. My 9 year old rode his friends Razor dirt bike and immediately asked for one. I got him the Razor MX500 and I can't keep him off of it. Now he wants a real dirt bike and to go to the track. For $550.00, can't beat it.

I’ve really thought about the razor dirt bikes. I haven’t ruled it out I just feel like they’re so small.

The Launch Edition 20” was $3,100 but they’ve just released the regular edition 20” that is ”only” $2,599.

Looks like there is also a new Harley edition 20” that comes without front suspension that is $2,299.

My kids have both ridden their Stacycs so much that it makes it easier to stomach the high costs. I also firmly believe that it has given my oldest kid a big head start as she’s transitioned to a real dirt bike.

I got him the MX500 which I would say is slightly smaller or about the same as the TTR110. I putt it around pretty comfortably. They also have a 650 which is even bigger.

Agree.

Basically, they are a $300 high end drill attached a $200 frame. If it's got suspension, throw in another $250.

At $3k, those are some sweet margins.

Not of that shit matters because people are buying.

I just got my grandson a Kawi Elektrode.
He was on a Stacyc 16 but I think the Elektrode is a much better bike.
It should last him into next summer, then I anticipate he'll outgrow it. .

Not sure what I'll do then. I looked at the Stacyc 20, but just can't justify that much for a strider bike with a motor and mtb forks..
It may be time to move him to a real dirtbike. But he can't ride that in the subdivsion where they live.

Hopefully at some point Kawi comes out with a 20
