Sprained Ankle Recovery Time?

Two weeks ago I sprained my ankle by catching my toe and twisting my foot back as I was low-siding (not rolling my foot like most ankle sprains). The x-rays didn't show any breakage, so I wore a boot for the first 5 days and now I'm walking fine, but the foot still hurts if I flex it sideways. I'm hoping to ride one last event in 2 weeks. Can anyone who has experienced this type of ankle sprain let me know how long it took them to recover to the point they would ride again?

Thanks,
Milan

You might not ever ride again.

4-6 weeks typically. You probably need to do some ankle strengthening with some therabands. Proprioception (balance), spin (or road) bike or elliptical for cardio.

Takes as long as you're willing to quit being a pussy. Seriously a sprained ankle ain't that bad, you wear boots for moto. They give plenty of support.

4-5 weeks, work on getting swelling down and getting range back. you could go earlier but I struggled to get mine in and out of the boot.
