Had the opportunity to pick up my buddies clean, super low hour 2011 450, so i jumped on it. Have always rode 250's and 125 2-strokes so figured why not. These things have torque for days!!!!
1st picture is the day it came home and then after i put my first few touches on it.....

Nice! It looks really new in the first pic. How does it ride compared to the 2 stroke?

Looks good. Always liked that gen of Honda CRFs.
Unleaded tastes a little tangy. Supreme is kinda sour, and diesel tastes pretty good.

Feels quite a bit heavier, but the power is unreal. You can literally damn near stop in a corner and then clear whatever jump is out of the corner. I could see how it would be real easy to get lazy riding one all the time, but I'm loving it so far!

Thanks man. Wanted to do something different and also went with a matte finish. I was surprised at how nimble it feels when riding it. For some reason always had it in my head that a 450 would feel like a school bus.

This model CRF's are great bikes for first 450. Mine first 450 was also a '12, not most power but bike feels very light and handles good, suspension is good with kyb spring forks, and I see you have a hydraulic clutch which is a great upgrade, because clutch is the one of the big downside of that bike in stock trim, and of course an exhaust. Aftermarket radiator cap helps too.

Radiator cap is coming as i noticed it gets hot quick when you aren't moving! He stiffened up the front fork springs and installed a pro circuit link in the back to lower it a bit and get rid of the "stink bug" feel that i guess they had when stock. He also got rid of the judder spring in the clutch and added a plate to fix that issue they had as well....

I think its a Honda thing. On my CRF50 they are also upside down, on my KTM they are right side up. EZ did both sets, Yimi is good people.

Everyone there is great to work with and they do a ton of stuff for Moto D and others that i ride with! Really cool to see them get into the moto community like they have!

Well, shit - then i am leaving them the way they are for sure!!
They actually hooked me up with a hoodie with my name and # on it when i paid for the graphics, so I'm just going to roll with it! Maybe sooner or later my OCD will kick in and i will fix them.
Surprisingly, she was the one that told me "quit thinking about it, and just by the damn thing" I am very lucky!

Lol, then we have probably already met and just didn't realize it! I quit parking over there because it got a bit "crowded", so now i usually park up by Wayne's trailer - but i will come say hi for sure!

Good buy. Never understood the bad rap the 09-12 models got. Owned 09-10 bikes with MDK (09) & FC (10) suspension work. Once the chassis is balanced with the correct spring rates on the suspension it actually turns / handles really well. They were the lightest 450's in that era by quite a few lbs.. The stock exhaust on these models are really chocked up & the stock map is no good. A Yosh RS4 system with a remap does wonders for that engine. Enjoy !
With a good aftermarket exhaust / remap the oem engine runs really strong from off idle to a good topend. It can make about 55 hp which is respectable considering a modern 450 is making about 57-58 hp..
Currently own an 18 model & feel the 09-10 with mods aren't that far off a stock showroom 18.

Maybe upside down Dunlop fork stickers are a thing for 2019. This is the 2019 450 FE and the one in the first impressions link on the side banner has them upside down as well.
