I know, I know...another 2-stroke thread, but just wanted to say, "I spoke with my wallet too!" Never thought I would own a KTM , but have to say, this bike's made me a believer in Big Orange. I definitely wanted to support a company who's invested so heavily in not only the 2-stroke, but the dirt bike scene in general. The quality and attention to detail on this bike are incredible. I have 2 rides on it since bringing it home from the dealership. Simply an amazing bike. Can't wait for the next ride. btw...best feature about the bike other than the fact it's not a 4 stroke....THE ELECTRIC START!!!!!

Awesome bike but whats up with that throttle cable? Is it suppose to be routed like that?

yup, my 3hunny is the same. I guess there are some issues out there with the bikes getting stuck WOT due to the cable. The hot ticket Im gathering is a longer cable from motion pro.

Go back to the shop and tell them you want the money for setup back.

Looking at that throttle cable routing I'd check every single bolt before I even started it up.

Purdy, wish mine had the black rimmage. Someone on Ktmtalk gave a part number for a longer Honda throttle cable to route it the traditional way

Sweet bike, new bike smell here at vital is getting out of hand the last few days. The fact that they have all three been two strokes just warms the heart. The fact that they have all been KTM's, regardless of strokes.....well the Japanese better wake up soon. The Dungey Replica is just around the corner.

And yeah, that throttle cable needs to be about two foot longer and routed out front of the bars, being a woods bike and all.....LOL

True story.. I let a friend of mine who rides a 2010 YZ250F, ride my bike. He went out and bought a 250SX, two days later.
His 250F will be for sale on houstonmotocross.com shortly, if not already.

Judging from the looks of that silencer, I'm not sure that bike even produces sound!

That's funny. I can imagine the official standing there with the sound meter in hand. "Ok, son. Fire it up and let's have a listen."

"It's already running!"

"I don't have time for games, son. You fail!"

Damn, I hate it when I go from "one of the few" to "just another dude on an orange bike"
I need to find me a new underdog...

I have to admit I loved being on orange when not many were. Most thought it was a disadvantage but I always thought otherwise. It does seem now that KTM is set for world domination and the orange tide is upon us. Guess I'll have to be satisfied with not being a bandwagoner.

Nice kick stand!

TAKE IT OFF
Thanks for the input, but, I plan to leave it on. I have a 5 year old who just started riding and the kickstand comes in quite handy when he lays his bike over. The kickstand keeps me from doing the same thing. Smile

got a '11 ktm 300xc. revalved the suspension, 1 tooth larger rear sprocket, and PC pipe/silencer, and it's the best bike i've ever ridden. so smooth, yet so fast. easy to ride, way funner to ride on the track, and it's a 2stroke to boot. ktms are great machines.

BTW, I had the head shaved down on my 300. In Colorado it is a must. Totally cleaned up the mid range.

Judging by the number of replies apparently many people do. Dip shit...

Congrats on the new bike!
