Hi everybody. So i just bought a 2017 TC250. Been nice enough to ride a couple 17 250 sx both bone stock and with a pipe silencer and a little motor work. Both were great and confidence inspiring. Beyond excited to really ride it and race it this year !!! Im a smaller guy so the overall smaller and more nimble chassis is something i really appreciate as well as the smoother power delivery and lack of vibration thanks to the counterbalancer. The air forks are great too. Really smoothes your riding style out when riding i believe. I will make a build on it if i decide to really build it up. Right off the bat im putting a 36mm Keihn off a 15 250sx i have laying around along with the nice Domino throttle assembly and cable. Not a fan of the mikuni or throttle housing it comes with really. Using a 36mm for better responce. Next would be Vforce4 reedcage PC silencer ( not sure if ill do a factory sound or a R304R) and a mx glide plate to start with. To anybody that has a 17 or newer 250sx or TC250 id like to see some pics of your bikes and hear some ride reports of any mods you may have done. Thanks !
Ride crazy and take chances!

My brother lives in Charlton, I'm in Boston, where do you ride?
Bud Racing/HGS exhaust, Vforce 4R, a60/FasterUSA wheels, fasst co rear brake spring, P3 carbon skid plate, jetting changes.
HVA Hardparts FMF Fatty/Powercore2.1 Ti/V Force 4/Shock re-sprung /stock valving front and rear/Acerbis frame guards/Roost MX graphics
Kehin 36 mm . Mikuni can run OK with OEM jets/needle or JD kit but wayyy too inconsistent to my taste
Dialed in the Keihin within 2 rides and never touched it since. Can't say that about the TMX
96 unleaded / Maxima K2 50:1
Stock PV spring 1-1/2 turns in
Going to try a flywheel weight soon
Love the AER, first time in 8 years I have not revalved a bike!

If you want to test the maps before buying the switch, just unplug the white connector under your tank by the petcock, this will put the bike in the less aggressive map.
Congrats on the bike! With the lack of vibration, it will really add to the longevity of the bike. My 13 250sx would eat its self alive, the vibration spit out bolts, any plastic that touch any thing else would literally cut deep grooves. I had to actually weld sections of my sub frame to replace material the plastics vibrated off. Crazy Fast though.
I have a 17 250sx btw. I'm running:
Pro Circuit exhaust
Vforce 4
Cut head to .045 squish
110 CAM2 fuel 40:1 amsoil dominator
JD Jet kit
18 Husky map switch
(was stock on 16 and previous years)
Can re-use stock cable. Some complain about a stiffer pull with the 18 throttle tube but I'm ok with 17 OEM
I got all wrapped up into the reed petals gaps drama, but after lots of testing and swap between stock/ stock with aftermarket petals/V force 4 it did not changed the jetting issues.
In fact my V Force shows two slights gaps...
The Keihin has been "set and forget", when the Mikuni needed major adjustments upon temp/humidity level changes (and I'm always riding at sea level). Could never adjust only with the AS. I'd have to mess with the needle clip or jets.
That setup ripped on the previous motor.
You need to play with the PV springs rates and pre-load too.
This can really affect how the power is delivered
I always try one change at a time because between jetting/PV settings/exhaust combo, it's pretty easy to get quickly lost
I did not bother much for the ignition maps though (i don't have the switch just plug/unplug the white connector under the tank)
Who made your graphics (number plates)?
