Small birthday present, out with the 22 250 gasgas 2 stroke, in with the 22 yamaha yz125.
Been 15 years since i rode a 125. The 250 went poof twice in 1 hour of riding so time for a switch.

Been close to a thousand years since I wrapped my legs round a 125.
Did get that fixed, 0 warranty from the ktm group, now i went riding after the fix and the end of the day bike started whistling and ticking, went to drain the oil and was only 75ml left. Noone knows where the oil went since i gave her new oil 1 hour prior the first poof. 1600 euros on repairs in 1 riding hour was too much and decided to get t fixed and traded her in for the yammie.
Never the less, huge congrats on the Yam 125.
I've got a 2012 and they are so much fun
I get they don't have to warranty anything on a race bike, and it's still far more rare for the Japs to do anything useful in these situations, but the inconsistency is still a bit weird 🤨
Nontheless that chapter is closed off and had the 125 out yesterday for riding, this is a bike you get tired on, compared to a 250 it has 0 bottom end and have to keep her pinned haha, pretty tiresome in 30 degrees after my birthday party haha!
Also coming off the 250 which had comevalves and traxx, the kyb suspension is suprisingly good. Will still have to get used to it but it’s a positive first ride.
I do think this will make me a less lazy rider again and better with lines to keep momentum going! Time will tell.
I have a 22 and the cylinder looks like any other pre tpi austrian 250
We're talking about the MC250 right ?
There are soooo many haggard old 250's / 300's over here in the UK that have been through rivers and thrown down hills and boiled over in the woods and neglected for years with no proper care or maintenance and are still going strong.

I’ve texted a friend who has a 150 see if they have a recall ,he did his knee in second ride on it so not seen him for a while at the yrack
EDIT
I just looked at my letter, as it is in dutch i will roughly say what they recall for.
Because of a malfunctioning production process there might have been fitted a malfunctioning ecu on your bike, this in the worst case scenario may cause engine damage with a crash as result.
Got the letter 3 days after getting it fixed the 2nd time. This is about the 2022 MC250 2stroke
I would drop that thing like a hot potato. I would feel bad for the next person that buys it lol.
the page says applicable to ALL markets but on the USA GG recall page, only the 125 is listed
Plugged my VIN in the Service area and the recall is there....
