Got myself a new dirt bike. First one in 35 years, last dirt bike I rode was a 1972 Ossa pioneer. 2021 Beta 200rr, so far it's a fun little bike. Enough power for me to learn and improve my skills and have fun on the trails.

I could use some good off road riding tips!!!

Awesome!

Stand up over the bumps, sit down near the gas tank in the corners. Elbows up. Use both brakes. Have fun!

Sweet bike, they may make KTM rethink a 200 again! Best riding tip I have is to look ahead and keep feet on pegs as mush as possible, ideally only put them down when you start and stop riding.

Good tip, I rode sport bikes for many years and many track miles. Almost never used the rear brake, it has been a strange transition using the rear brake. I have a little bit of a learning curve on this one.

Get some rad guards asap since I have a feeling you're gonna be dropping it. The rads will bend and taco easily on the beta's. Just like a honda not enough bracing / support. Folding clutch/brake levers will pay for themselves over time.

Other than maybe a spark arrestor better tires a bar bend you like and grips. These beta's don't need much they rip. My friend I go riding with has a 21 125 RE and 21 300 RX. The 125 rips haven't ridden a 200 yet but it sounds like it's killer. Wish they'd make the 125 into a RX with a close ratio transmission.

Thanks for the tips. I bought a spark arrestor and hand guards, the bar bend feels pretty good so far. I will order some radiator guards, and folding levers. The tires are Michelin's so they are not terrible

So far I like the bike, it is snappy but has some grunt down low. I need to set the suspension up this week, the rear is very stiff even for my 200lbs weight. The seat is HARD, may have to invest in a softer seat foam............
