Yes, a proper spoke with my wallet thread - a brand new TM144 MX. The work day is going to go slow tomorrow, waiting to go riding.

Take photos on the stand with tire dressing before you ride it...you will appreciate those photos in the years ahead.

Beautiful bike.

Nice!! The 144 is a very cool bike.

My brother is a Polaris/Kaw/TM dealer here. He rides a TM 300 4 stroke and his grandson a 250 4 stroke. Both seem to be great bikes. TM's are a bit pricey and not for everyone, but they sure are trick.
And if you're willing to spend more money, you can even customize them to your specs.

No tm was doing 144 before 144 was cool. This is OGese, not Chinese.

Sold my 250 sxf this spring and still have a 350. I’ve owned a 06 TM 125 before - I was very impressed with the build quality and it was quick but unforgiving if you made mistakes. The extra torque of the 144 should be a bit easier to ride. I’ll soon find out!

I really wanted to like this photo!

But it just seems too fitting as is.

Congrats on the new bike!

First ride on Friday just did a few heat cycles to break it in. The first thing I note was that the Mitas intermediate tires that came on the bike were not going to work on the sand that I ride on. Put some Pirelli Scorpion sand tires on the bike and fixed that. Had a better time on it today. I’ve got to relearn riding a small bore 2 stroke. This thing pulls beautifully if your left foot is on the ball. When you get it right it’s feels great. But riding a 4 stroke has left me with bad habits so I’ll need some seat time to get my 2 stroke skills back. But the bike is awesome. Feather light and corners amazingly. Sounds fantastic! My son has never been on a 2 stroke and is still something of a beginner and he found it very tough to ride, but I assured him it’s worth the effort to master it as it is the best way to improve his overall skill. The 4 stroke let’s you go reasonably fast even if you’re lazy and lack skill. Not so with this bike! And that’s what I wanted. Heres the boy on the bike.

Glad you’re enjoying it, I’m sure to people that didn’t grow up riding 2 strokes the small bores seem like a frantic weird little thing to get used to, but I know I’m far more excited to get to the track if I’m riding my 125 than anything else. Hopefully there’ll be a tm in my garage at some point, looks awesome!
