This year started out good, but after a couple rides I realized that my 13 CRF450 had gotten too heavy and too powerful for my 56 year old Intermediate ass I was no longer able to manage the power, especially on the smaller tracks we ride (the only real "big" track here is Washougal, and it's not Glen Helen or Hangtown big).

After another 10 or so ride days I hinted around to the wife that I was"thinking" about a new bike. Of course, I'd already found an 18 FC350 that the dealer needed to clear out to make room for the 20s that are on their way. CRF sold in a week, and Saturday I picked this up. $6900 out the door.

Me and the boys spent the afternoon/evening in the garage, watching Hangtown, and going through our bikes, getting them ready for Sunday, Rode it today for the first time and I'm very happy with my choice. Light, stable, turns great, plenty of power, great brakes, high quality build and hardware.

I was smart enough to tell the dear wife that this is probably not my last bike. Hoping to ride/race until at least 70, but we will see.

That's an awesome looking scooter Mike! Glad you picked her up. Replied back to your PM as well , and we'll have to hook up for a ride day , so you can test the 125 , and maybe I could test that 350. One thing I dig about these 17' and 18' Husky's is the white frame , as they just look good stock. Congrat's dude!

Probably not - just hit an hour on the meter yesterday. I haven't tried Map 2 or Launch control, or even done a practice start yet! I plan to hit Mountain View on Saturday with my boy, and put at least another 1.5 hours on it. Maybe next week!

Yeah, I find the 19 unattractive, and the 20 even worse. I really like the look of the 18, and for the deal I got, it was a no-brainer.

Very happy with it in my 1 hour of riding yesterday. Magic button just makes me giggle, it handles so well, and it is so light. Suspension pretty good already and it still has to break in. Looking forward to a few years on this thing!

I was debating between this and a 150SX. I figured at my old age, with the last 15 years on 4 strokes, making the change back to a small-bore 2T might be too big a transition. But once my 13 year old adds a little size, I think we will have a 150SX in the garage anyway, so I'll have both. Smile

Mountain View this Saturday, Washougal the 8th for me. Might do PIR the 6th if I'm comfortable enough for a gate drop.

I have the 17 350 and recently got a 150sx. It makes jumping back and forth so much fun. My son rode the 150 on the track for the 1st time last week and will steal it from me if Im not careful.

Awesome choice!

Love my '16 KTM 350. Best bike purchase I ever made. When I replace it soon it'll be with a Husky 350.
