Lol, did the same thing with mine after my first deployment and tax free bonus. Been a few bikes since then. Looking back I wish I had never reenlisted and wished I hadnt sold my soul, but everyone is different. Congrats on both!

Same. I'll be seperating July at 10 years, off to grad school. Agree, lots of factors play into it including job, duty history, etc.

Congrats buddy!!! I used mine on a 2017 RMZ450 a few years ago. Makes the BS somewhat worth it when you got a nice piece to show for it. 12 years myself and I’m aircraft maintenance so when a bonus finally came around I jumped on it and right to the Stealership I went.....WE EARN IT, good for you!

You were in the AF for crying out loud. That’s a civilian job with military benefits and only 4 month deployment. I did 4 Afghanistan deployments and 3 Iraq deployments. 7 years of my life in the Middle East. AF has it made no matter where you are.

1) I AM STILL IN
2) I did three 6 MONTH DEPLOYMENTS, one to AFGHANISTAN, one to SYRIA (this year) and one to the UAE.
3) Has nothing to do with quality of life, nor did I allude to that in my post, nor was I "crying" about it.

But please continue...

It’s just the standard Army/Marine response. Trying to shit on another person who chose to join a different branch is just lame. We’re all on the same team, but whatever makes some people feel better about their war stories, oh well.

No sweat here. Agreed. Just hate when people assume or talk like they know. I've served side by side with all branches during my deployments/assignments, besides the coasties. Like you said brothers and sisters in arms all sharing common bonds/experiences.

Looks like he's a seabee, awesome job for sure from what I've been told and hear. Similar to Air Force red horse.

I didn’t mean to sound assholeish. My apologies. You could have a worse job is all I was eluding too. I did 21 years on active duty and retired. I’m happy and have no regrets staying the full 20. 38,000 G’s a year for the rest of your life is a nice security blanket.

Yep, I took a bonus at the expense of my well being (soul) which for me is my job, sure its a job, and it allows me to ride, benefits, etc. but I die a little everyday and am ready to start my next career (occupational therapy) and wish I had done so sooner. I get it, some people can do 20 years no problem, but I'm someone who operates from the heart and my heart is no longer in it and ready to do something else with my life that I find rewarding everyday. Life is too short to just live for a paycheck. Different journeys for everyone. No worries, thank you for your service as well.

Congrats on the new ride and reenlisting. I did 23 in the AF and it made riding affordable to me.

Does this mean I can come home 3 months early and make my entire local race series?
