A small update.

I have around 10 hours on the bike now and I have added the following parts. New Starcross 5 tires, Sclavini pipe with Bud Racing silencer, race harness, Guts racing cover and soft foam, and Mika bars with Cycra hand guards. This bike rips, it is as fast as the 2016 TC 125 that I had. It actually has a little more low end, I'm assuming due to the heavy flywheel. I am super happy with my purchase, the bike feels light, handles great and so far I think it is one of my favorite bikes that I've had so far.

What's your take on the pipe and silencer swap? Did you tune the power valve further after the pipe swap?

Nice setup. Do you plan to do any MX with it?

Probably some practice days. I'm not really a MX guy, mostly woods and GP's.
That setup (other than hand guards) screams Moto! I hope Beta offers a MX dedicated model, but yours would work 👍

Besides the pipe has racing harness installed 19 rear wheel 38mm pwk short body with jd jet kit. It's setup more for track use. Haven't ridden it with the pipe n carb change yet. Stock it rips so can't wait to see what the pipe n carb will do.

What bike is the 19" rear wheel from?

I've been wanting another 200...as in a REAL 200...like my '89-'91 KDXs that gave me everything from Qualifier Medals to MX race wins. I mean, damn...DAMN Good Times! Possibly the best bikes I've ever owned...

So, today, my local Beta guy tells me he's been allocated a 2022 200RR Race Edition...Evil

The silencer didn't make that big of a difference. The pipe on the other hand took the power and moved it higher in the RPM. With the original pipe I had adjusted the PV to give the bike a little more hit, with the new pipe I actually put the PV back to stock. The pipe defiantly gave is some more power, but it also made it hit harder.

Off the subject of this thread. I completely agree with you on the 200s. Am on my third KTM 200 over the past 40 years. I’m not sure what logic Kawi and KTM are used when dropping the 200s from their line.

To the OP…the Beta looks great. Congrats on the new bike and first race success.

The “150” engine in the Austrian bikes does a pretty good job; but, I prefers an honest to goodness 200.

Sold my 04 KDX200 to a guy who had one in the earlier 90s and wanted another. I miss it little bit. Great engine with RB head and carb. FMF Gnarly. Put kx500 forks on. Got what I paid for it new. Which never happens with bikes that often.

Where did you get the ignition? I've looked on Boano's website but I can't find it.

I see VHM makes a kit with head and GET CDI now. I thought about trying it out.

I think he got the last one they had. No idea if they are gonna make them. He hasn't put it on yet.

These mfgs are really taking this flat seat society thing really seriously. Does anyone think that seats this flat put you in a much higher position to your handlebars even when sitting in your normal riding position?

I think it does and also think even shorter riders than me (I'm 6'3) will have to start running higher bend bars because if this. Bikes have always had a dip in the center of the seat, late 80's and 90's bikes have the biggest dip in the seat and my 03 KX250 had a noticeable dip in the center of the seat but being so tall I added enough foam to make it flatter like the 05-07 seats.

Thoughts on the ergo evolution of the diminishing seat dip?
Betas are lower seat height and stand over than most brands out there. Besides, who sits down in the woods anyway?

Old thread, nice bike. How would a bike like this be for a 200lb MX guy? Im a vet rider now that only goes to tracks to play and practice. I still ride pretty hard and hit all the whoops and jumps on the outdoor tracks. Currently have a 2017 YZ250F. Used to ride 125B in the late 90's.
