Hey guys been long time lurker here. I was going to make some kinda smartass first post Evil but got a honest question for you since the OEM hour meter topic was brought up. Since I've seen a lot of people called out for not even riding, how many hours a year (avg.) do you ride? Today makes exactly one year since I brought my latest bike home and I have put right at 50hrs on it since. Been pretty busy this year so that is on the low end per year. I think the most I put on in a year was around 80. So what's your guys averages?

No clue on average, but in the last 6 months I have put 12 hours on my 250f and 3 hours on my 250 2 stroke. That will of course go up when the weather is better. I live in NC.

Picked my new bike up dec. 31, it has 17 hours on it now. Installed a wireless meter before i cranked it for the first time. 5 oil changes and a fresh set of tires, chain and sprockets. 15 of those 17 hours have been in beautiful red sand.

Cool..just thought it would be a good topic for discussion. Also wanna add that I ride mainly woods and can leave from my house so it makes it pretty easy on me to get seat time. I'm also a teacher and have summers off Woohoo

I put hour meters on my bikes for maintenance reasons. However, when I check the ECU hours, they are always less than the aftermarket meter. I tried a wireless one and it was so far off I threw it out.

A long day in Baja can be 8 hrs of seat time, so those add up.

Hey, I found that my aftermarket hour meter reads more than actual too. Is there a fix or a way to calibrate it?

I have the pro taper wireless. I document my riding time in a notebook. So far, its only off by about 10 minutes.

I race about 10 times per year, and the race is an hour long. I practice probably 2 hours on the Saturday before the race so that's 30 hours. And I probably get in about 10 other rides in the year for a couple of hours each so 50 hours is a fair number for my average.

Wireless hour meters work off vibration, there has been posts about bumpy roads racking up hours on bikes with wireless meters...

0. You should see my hour meter for the total time I've spent at my son's sports practices and games, thoughTongue
We are also about to try out the BMX scene, so there's another few nights a week. My youngest son is about a year away from starting sports too so that's another set of sports to chase. This parenting thing is a full time gig, I tell ya!

Jealous, I know, haha

I've had no issues with mine.

I'm coming up on owning my 250SX for 2 years now. It's got 24hrs on it. Lame I know.

63hrs in 11 months on my 450 and about 20hrs on my woods bike. Turned 50 last year and decided I was going to race/ride every chance I got. Planning to ride more every year til I die or run out of money, whichever comes first
