I have a 2019 Yamaha 250YZF and run a set of Renthal twinwall handlebars. Due to the mapping switches and electric start switch there is almost no space to put handguards on. Is there any tips or hand guard brands out there that mount onto the handle bar differently?

I move my map switch to below the crossbar. I’m interested in better solutions too.

It was a very tight fit with the stock bars, couldn't imagine with a cross bar. It would be cool if there was an aftermarket switch that could combine them into one housing on the left side, then a nifty was to mount the starter to the brake perch or hand guard mount on the right side.

Grab a pair of these (if you have an ARC clutch assembly):

No bar space utilized and can cut them down to size, using the outlines on the back of each guard. ARC doesn't have them listed on their website yet, but I've had a pair on my 96' CR for a few years. Worth a call to them direct to see if they have any lying around the shop...

Thank you for the info. I use ASV levers so unsure wether they’ll fit. KTM make very good handguards that mount onto the clutch and front brake perch of their bikes however Yamaha does not seem to do the same

At the moment I just have Acerbis (universal fit). Trying to find out if there is others that have thinner mounts or a different style of mount

Cycra makes this handlebar clamp mount that works really well with their wrap around guards. I’m not sure if it works for others but I’ve been really happy with them.
