Same thing here in PA. There is a local hard enduro event with a huge purse this weekend. Think I’ll sit on the boat and drink Palmers instead. Turning 31 has made me a fair weather rider...Not afraid to admit.

Will be interesting to see which bikes make it through the weekend....and which ones don't.

Theres always a few that let go there every year. 95 deg temps certainly won't help.

Dang, if it is dry Friday and Saturday it should not be too wet I wouldn't think, unless Southwick does not drain like a "normal" sand track. That heat though will be another story. The couch is the place to watch this one!

Pretty much the North American forecast till late September. It's 102 here today with a heat index somewhere near a million. Tomorrow it's supposed to get hot.Silly

Crazy how 95 is hot to normal people. It’s been 100+ with no end in sight for a month already in Texas. Give me the heat over the snow I suppose.

Webb picked an awesome race to return to. Less sand than their used to be me thinks, still a tough track.

Gonna be a sweat fest.

They’ve been doing lots of work to the track. Should be better than ever. Last year they brought in a crap load of new sand and reportedly brought in more than double this year.

Have you guys seen the entry list for the 125 race?

I’ll be rooting for Treadwell, but it would be awesome to see any of those old northeast guys on the podium.

Should be almost a full gate of angry bees buzzing. Bummed I can’t be there. The 125 race will be epic. Hope there’s some good video.

Humidity goes down as temperatures go up with a non-changing dew point. Dew point is the constant indicator of "moisture content" in the air which gives it that "humid feel". The closer the actual temperature is to the dew point, the higher the humidity. A 70F dew point is humid as a mof'er, so if the actual temp is 85F, humidity will be higher. At an actual temp of 95F and dew point of 70F, it will still feel the same level of sticky/humid, but the actual humidity goes down. This is why when someone says it's 90F and 90% humidity, I know they are lying. Only place in the world that gets that kind of weather is in the persian gulf, which is the nastiest place on earth for heat and humidity. Just ask our soldiers, God bless them.

But point being to all this, 95F and 55% humidity will still be nasty to race in.

If I was a betting man, it would be on Lorusso taking the win in the 125s.

So they are doing the 125's Saturday? When I was looking at the schedule on the website I didn't see anything about them. This makes me happy...the heat, not so much. But spent last weekend in Alabama and it was fackin hawt. So this won't seem so bad.

Should be a great day for racing! Heat, humidity and more sand. Can't wait to watch the 450's go at it. Crossing my fingers that Bam Bam pulls a holey and gets a moto win!

Ty Masterpool is gonna smoke these guys so bad. Would be cool to see Treadwell Lorusso or even Doug Dubach get on the podium though.

Tony has done wonders for the NHMX facility. Formally Jolly Rogers. Every once in awhile you can see him out there ripping around, fast as ever. Guy doesn't seem to age.

Masterpool will have his hands full with Barnaby and Ainsworth. Lorusso put a whooping on most of that class last weekend at the MX338 Vet championship. Southwick is the only track on the circuit where you are racing to beat the locals that's for sure!
