My wife and I will be moving to southern Illinois early next year and so far I'm disappointed in MX options there. Can someone tell me where the best tracks are within an hour or two from Marion, IL? It's been a while since I rode Moto so it would be nice to ride on a well groomed vet track.
He has open practice often and also does some during the week. It's not unusual for him to have 200 plus riders for practice days on weekends, and 500 riders for a race.
Lincoln Trail is the spot in Southern IL and that's the place everyone knows about, from Marion it's almost two hours. Archview is another really good option, it's in East Saint Louis, and that'll be a 1.5-hour drive for you.
Indian Hills and Paradise are both around DuQuion, but I can't get a straight answer if either is open or not. The same goes for Euro in Nashville.
You should look into what tracks are in Missouri, like Sweeney in Park Hill or whatever is around Cape Girardeau, and then northern Kentucky around Paducah and Murray.
Hopefully, some more locals chime in, it would be good to figure out who is still around the STL/SoIL scene.
The Shop

Seizemore is supposed to be reopening the track in duquoin at the fairgrounds?

It isn’t prepped often, but Ride Organic in Alton is open every day last I knew.
Pit Row
I rarely ride anymore, but the past several times I have, it's been at LTM. They have a year end team race that connects both tracks with a grass track/trail loop that's a ton of fun and a super long lap time.
U just call his shop euro mx and frank is pretty cool
I know this is an old thread, but, Paradise Motopark is closed. The owner no longer maintains the tracks. There’s not a lot to choose from as far as tracks go.. western Kentucky, SE Missouri, Little Egypt Off Road has a small track in the front that you can ride.. the track in the fairgrounds is only used for a few events a year and then it is left to be overgrown with grass until the next event. I haven’t had much luck finding trails open to motorized vehicles either. Little Egypt and a club down near Harrisburg.
Illinois gives out grants and funding for off road parks to be built. A few of us could always start a “club” and send in the applications for funding. More info can be found on the IDNR website.
If you’ve managed to find some places that are open to ride, let me know!
BRAAAAAP!
