Michael Gaughn, the owner of the South Point Casino in Las Vegas says he'll pay a $100,000 bonus for any American rider who wins the MX1 class at the USGP. They're dubbing it the South Point Hotel and Casino Racer's Challange. Riders can enter until 2:00 pm Friday. 

Bud Feldkamp announced that at this afternoon's press conference.

Bud said that they can still enter until 2:00 Friday afternoon.

He also mentioned that if you buy a Saturday/Sunday or Sunday only ticket online ($70/$50), it includes a free $30 pit pass that's good all day.

i had to re-read that, 100 grand? thats awesome! If it gets people racing the us open then it'll surely get some takers in the usgp? Very awesome.

Bought 2 tickets yesterday on that deal. How cool would this offer have been if the riders had more notice.

hmm. how many american riders really stand a chance? and how many would be aloud to do it?
how about 250f riders entering into the 450 race? will that effect their status at all? would be cool to see barcia or tomac step up to the challenge.

Racing 450's in GP's and Outdoors does not affect Lites eligibility.

I just wonder who that would have a legitimate chance at a win will actually be there.

I guess the reasons for not racing now has gone out the window. It pays more the the X Games and right around the total purse amount if you won every 450 National. Wheres the your pride for being American now.
