I'm guessing a broken collarbone just by the way he was slumped over. Took a good sham to his left shoulder. Sucks to see him go down like that with the progress he was making
Injury almost certain. Would be completely shocked if he wasn't after he walked off the track holding his arm up.
I kinda thought so too, kept seeing his name in the second heat, then the lcq, but both times no Cooper. Seeing how the kid rode with that wrist injury last year, I figured if he's not out there it must be bad. Man, they have so many injured every year in this series, I say 20 nationals, ten sx rounds. Hell, 30 nationals, no sx.... just not enough room in a stadium, at least the way they set it up now.
Damn I'm bummed for him. I myself have a seperated shoulder that I still plan on fixing "one day". Hope he's ok and doesn't set him back as he has been riding so damn well recently.
After dealing shoulder dislocations for a few years, I'd hope that wasn't it. If he hurt his collarbone, it can get it fixed fast and strong, maybe only miss 2 weeks? The surgery for should dislocations can take up 4 months to heal.
Either way I'm crossing my fingers Cooper is all good. Hate seeing that.
Two other riders, Cooper Webb and Justin Bogle, didn’t do as well after having crashes of their own. Webb crashed early in his heat and slammed his shoulder into the dirt hard. We checked with the team after the race and they seemed confident there weren’t any broken bones but they weren’t sure if anything else was injured. They’ll have a better idea of the severity in a few days.
Horrid reporting by the air crew last night. Not a single word about CW2 after he went down. No one could go to the pits and get an inside scoop on his condition? Would he line up or not? SMH. Amateur hour in the broadcast booth. Imagine that lack of coverage in the NFL, or NBA, when a major star gets hurt. If the sport wants to be big-time, here's a place to improve. There's no shortage of time between motos to get some stories queued up.

So he will need surgery? I thought that injury just healed on its own. I still say, as long as he's ready to hit the nats I'd be happy, I'm just bummed for him though, he was starting to get pretty damn fast
Who will ride bike end of SX and Nationals? Reed doesnt do outdoors so they park whole team?
Wilson would been great for Yamaha but now its too late... dont see JS7 ride there.

I thought that there were a lot of things missed. I am pretty sure we saw Bloss down at one point and they skipped past things like that. It's tough to make sense of it when you're trying to watch and scan the leaderboard to do the work yourself.
Doesn't look like it would be a dislocated shoulder. He landed directly on his shoulder. So I would say broken collar bone or seperated ac joint. I have a stage 3 seperated ac joint and it hurt like hell for 1 week and by 2 to 3 weeks it felt fine. I just have a big bump on my shoulder where the bone sticks out. Didn't reed get third in a supercross with a stage 3 seperated ac joint?
If it's a broken collar bone they should be able to plate it and he will be back in a couple weeks.
