are wound just a little bit tight. All pissy and name dropping and such. I should build you all a bridge so that you can all " just get over it" and chill the f' out. Maybe take in a Cheap trick concert with me and Rick, Robin and Tom tonight.

Not name dropping or anything...

I'm jus' going...

I might post up pics of my $20.00 bills I'm gonna spend, then again I might not.

Might even take my Bun E. Carlos drumstick with me....yeah, I got one, circa 1979. It ain't NOS, but it's mine.

Blondie, Adam Ant, Psych Furs and Berlin all in the same night. Cool. Dr. Noah Drake and Dramarama, not so much.Smile

Have fun and tell Debbie and Dale I said hi. You know Debbie was a Playboy bunny and Dale was in Hustler. Not saying that I saw either.Laughing Old school rules....

Cheap Trick-it seemed like they opened for every big band in the '70s. They opened for Kiss at the first concert I ever went to and I've seen them at least 8 times since then. Always a good time, I got to meet Robin Zander and Rick Nielsen backstage when they were touring with Aerosmith and REO Speedwagon back in (I think) '86. They were very laid-back and easy to talk to for all of us working the stage. Nice dudes, would have raelly liked to meet Bun E., though.

I wonder how Hammer got away with making an Explorer copy after Gibson sued ESP over the same design?

Saw these and other bands in the late 60's...they clearly set the tone of my youthful daysSmile It was MX and Ski Racing that turned me around. Lots of my buds (bros - modern venacular HaHaHa) met the grim reaper when they could not find the exit in the late 60's and early 70's.

Cheap Trick played at my college in '82 or '83 and me and room mate got to be "roadies" for a day. Listened to Robin play the first part of Over The Hills And Far Away by Zeppelin on his acoustic during sound check. Sounded like Jimmy! Also got to be part of the security team in front of the stage. Fun night for sure! Newmann, thanks for the ride in the way back machine! Wink

Oh yeah?

Saw Canned Heat, Jimi Hendrix, Iron Butterfly, John Mayall, Jefferson Airplane and shitloads of other bands at the Swing Auditorium in Berdoo; Grateful Dead and the Allman Bros (with Duane) together at The Winterland on New Years Eve; the Dead another half dozen times at UCSB when I was 13-18 and my brother was going to college there (took him five years to get his degree...LOL); saw the Mothers of Invention a few times, went to all the California Jams, US Festival; seen Oingo Boingo half a dozen times; Bob Marley and the Wailers; Bowie, The Who and a hundred other bands in my youth.

The one band I would love to have seen was Talking Heads, my all time favorite band. I've seen David Byrne a few times and I've seen the Tom-Tom Club, so I've got that goin' for me...and when i die, I will have total consciousness, the Llama told me!

Screw all you guy's. I went to the original Woodstock in 1969. Also saw Zeppelin 6 times throughout the 70's. Oh yeah, also got drunk with Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison one night at Barney's Beanery in 1970.
