Soaring Eagle today

The track looks a little jumpy. Dirt looks good. Concert Friday night. Rain go away please. Nice spectator hillside. Down about 50 bucks on the crap table.

Is there any live coverage? It might lessen the withdrawal.

Damn! I hadn't hear of it until now. No advertising any where that I have seen either.

Hopefully someone gets some video or at least posts the results for us this weekend!

There was a interview on RacerX a few days ago with Nick Wey talking about it. Not much advertising other than that.

No problem with a track on flat land. It can be done and can be very fun. Hope to catch some of the action this weekend.

We need about 12 to 16 of these races a year. That would shake things up a bit and make the privateer worth competing. Make it even better have one class that races for 40 minutes. Run what ya brung.

I think this is a great idea, but the advertising has been really non-existent. if we wouldn't have some friends from MI or follow Ricky and Red Bud on instagram we would have never known about it. and even at that there was never much info until the last couple days, I didn't even know where to look for details until last night.

There's a bit of an independent batch of heavier purse races over the next couple of months. Not $50k, but decent privateer take homes. The $25k Texas Pro Challenge on Oct 5-6 at Swan usually attracts a huge gate in both pro classes and has, in the past, introduced many to the future stars. (swanmx.com)

I know there are others scattered here and there during the 'off season'.

3rd place Over 60s. Only six riders, but we all had fun. 16 hour drive up, race, gamble, 16 hours back. Totally worth it. We'll probably go back next year. The Pro payout was awesome for those guys, but pretty top heavy. With 20 riders in the main, all of them should have been paid something. (I'm back up about $100, but the wife hit $600 on some slots)

didn't see this thread til today. i posted some pics and results in this thread

i worked the race as a flagger. was pretty good race IMO. dealt with a lot of rain on and off all Saturday but Mark Barnett was a wizard with the track. very forgiving, heard many positive comments about the track all day.
