So which one is it? Mc L Rath or Mackle Rath?

How do you pronounce the guy's name properly? Mackle Rath just sounds weird every time I hear the announcers say it.

No matter how you say it, he looks awesome on the Yamaha this year.

Hate the way "Macklerath" sounds, but I guess that's the way they want it said, unfortunately... The other way sounds better and more closely resembles how it's spelled.

This is truth.... The announcers pronounce it like he does, not how it is spelled...

I interviewed Shane at a dealership open house a couple of years ago and asked him. He said it didn't matter to him how people announced it. Then I asked him how he pronounced it, and he said, "Ma kel reth."
