Sitting here, almost 630 and this place looks nearly empty. A lot of first timers, too. Weimer was doing his Kawasaki track lap and people were oohing and awwing when he was doing doubles.

So, two San Diegos? I'll post more pics as the night goes on

Half of my friends wound up in sd / chula vista area. they're all at clubs paying $4 extra per drink and listening to really, really terrible music over seeing a supercross race.

Maybe if the lap times were closer to the one minute mark people would show up...

It's still dark. I'll take a picture when the first heat starts.

We had better seats picked out but I bought them for February on accident. Oops.

I am sitting in my living room 20 mins from the stadium. Last year it was such a bitch parking downtown n the wait to get out of the structure that I passed on this round. If the crowds r down I will hit round 2. This is where live TV can hurt attendance

Anaheim and San Diego are only 90 miles apart. Are they hurting themselves trying to draw the some of the same crowd 2 weeks in a row? Phoenix as round 2 always seemed to have a big crowd.

If proximity is a problem how will A2 attendance look next week after 3 races in the same general area?

They are hurting theirselves. there are so many great stadiums and cities to host these races in.... even with the Indy sx chicago would fill up each year.

We parked at the 8th Street transit station and took the trolley. It was a 9 minute ride. Only 5 miles further than parking at Qualcomm and riding the trolley for 40 minutes each way.

Parking here is the easy part, I think.

I made the mistake of doing the parking garage last year n sat for an hour before we got onto the street. Not a fan of trolleys/trains but next race I may try that

NFL has a lot of black out games maybe they're on to something. Maybe the TV package is TOO good.

Ouch. That's really, really bad. I'm shocked - Petco looked absolutely packed last year. This is not good.
