I've had ACL replacement and need it again. I feel so much empathy for him and understand that look on his face. It's gutting to see him out another summer and MXoN. Get well soon RV. Even though he can be polarizing and edgy to fans, and I'm not a fan of his per se, I hope he comes back 100% and races for wins.

This could easily be simple clean up cause he has time now.

Has it ever occurred to anyone that Villopoto is just sick of hurting all the time?

Maybe he realizes it will only hurt more as he gets older, and doesn't want unbearable pain for the rest of his life.

The kid has had more knee and leg injuries than I can count the past 9 years.

from what i can work out is he had his knee looked at professionally after the supercross season had finished,
so upon being asked during one of the last races if he plans to race motocross, that was the plan, untill he got it looked at and it was worse then first assumed

He was probably contemplating fixing now or waiting till retirement.
He didnt want to race outdoors anyway (who does) so now he can get title five and quit.

JT$ and Matthes both said he wouldnt be racing months ago.

Everything they said was spot on and to the T of how it would all play out. Hill going to Canada, Metty going to Kawi, Chad knowing about it, etc...

You dont get that kind of info and have a plan in place and done the Monday after supercross.

It takes months.

When RV (and no doubt, other riders) leave Moto it may be because of grueling travel, injuries, whatever….but most likely it will be to get away from the drama queens that moto fans+internet have become.

I wish RV the best with his knee and a rapid recovery. My own advice for Ryan. Keep the knee cooled and wrapped to reduce swelling and do the PT. Like he does not already know that. Smile

My question is, so what if he lied? Maybe he knew months ago and didn't want to deal with all the negative shit questions that comes with it and possible distracting him from the task at hand... A fourth straight SX championship. What's the big fucking deal. Some of you act like he's your wife lying about being faithful.
