Will there be many privateers, money to travell will be a killer,
I could imagine that some non OEM team may be in question.
Maybe Feld could offer incentive, maybe call it prize money.
In all honesty, the MXoN is an end of season Finale.. but we wont get a season. Lets get the races in. If we can get 75% of an MXGP season, 5 more SX races and enough Nationals to mean something, its all good.
What’s changed your perspective to give you this optimism? I’m open to hearing good news!
I actually agree. This thing is going to rage and be super brutal but we’re so far past containing it that I think by summer they’ll just pull the plug...
I hope that whatever they decide works out and whoever gets crowned champion wears it proudly
Looks like Qualcomm stadium has some open dates in Sept & Oct when SDSU football is on the road.
See you there!
Nothing would make me happier than going back to Jack Murphy for a couple races, but no way SX is allowed anywhere near that field during the season. This deal pushes everything from team boot camps to pre-season warm ups indefinitely, so maybe there is a chance.
Another thing is, once the all clear is given, are we just all of a sudden going to have every major sport in the world just fire right up and play at the same time? How does that work?
That’s awesome. Makes sense. This gives them 3 weeks to prepare after outdoors, assuming no outdoor rounds get pushed back. I’m cautiously optimistic we either contain it by June or we all have it by then anyways.
So no mx sim or iRacing like Nascar for the racers?
I don't think MX has that base built-in like the drivers do in NASCAR, IndyCar, and F1 with their simulators. It is interesting to read how the regulars in those series talk about how fast the gamers are, though.
Lessee here:
NFL football has started by September. And the only non-NFL stadiums left on the schedule were Utah and Vegas.
Sam Boyd has a no compete clause with the new stadium that starts in May or June I believe. Not sure if that can change or not, but as they say money talks.
So essentially, none of the previously booked venues short of Sam Boyd (assuming they can get a waiver on the no-compete) are even available in Sept/Oct

That's for people above my pay grade to figure out. When the gate drops? We'll be there.
Seriously though. Gonna be tough schedule on the riders...wonder how they will feel about it.

The sport may never be the same.
If MXoN is a casualty of that , I will take it.
See you there!

People are dying for some sports related stuff and the sports reporters are starving to death right now.

The October 1st contract thing is an issue for some. We'll have to see how it gets sorted out.

The Utes play at Rice-Eccles, so that's out.
