The Shop
You can see more on TV and on your computer these days. Crazy that only a couple years ago, you had to be at the race to see and know everything about the weekend. But now, you know what's going on as it happens. No need to be there in person, unless you want to feel like you need to wash your face every 5 minutes (like I felt at Pala).
Did Red Bull not want James at Lakewood, smoozing in the VIP area?
Take into account that most of these riders have spent the majority of their lives at a race track. No matter how much you love the sport, to much of it gets to be tiring.
Sad, but true
Pit Row
but do understand why some "pro's" dont wanna hang out at the track when not racing. call it bitter, bored, burned out, whatever. but can understand not wanting to go to another race after racing all year. BUT, you'd think some of them would be there for "the fans", to do some silly season PR or to take in the atmosphere to one of the greateest races in MX sport. especially knowing alot of them will never get the chance to race to race for there home country.. just my 2 cents..
