Me. And I've been a GP fan since Joel and Roger were the new up and coming guys. It was pretty dang neat to watch a GP, even if was a night race in the desert.

I've been trying to keep up on the since the Stefan Evert's , Chiodi days.....and was really into reading all the mags back in the early 80's when Lackey and Laporte were running them ( not much of anything ever televised ) . Over the past 3 - 4yrs since they have popped up on our TV's....I try not to miss any. Been following the Mx "des " nations race since the late 70's.

I'll give it 17 more tries, but that's it!

Oh yeah....if you come across that little prick " GoRide2 ".....he'll try and come across as some MXGP expert.......which he isn't. He started following them just a couple years ago....only because all the Americans on the boards here shunned him for being an idiot. He left the American series discussions in complete disgrace and embarrassment because......well , he had no clue as to what he was talking about.

Just sending out a fair warning. The way he comes across is....he was there when Joel Robert was winning all his world titles. Laughing All this coming from a dude that has never thrown a leg over a dirt bike.....ever.

Good call. Once you get to know all the names , who they ride for and all the other stuff.....there really is some great racing over there. Give it a year.....you'll be back for more. Smile

I started watching last year and really got into it, honestly more so than I thought I would. Those guys haul ass and it's a good watch at most tracks even though the camera angles sometimes leave a bit to be desired.
With that being said, I think that the camera angles may be one of the reasons that before last weekend, I was convinced that RV would lay the wood on the Euros from the first gate drop. The U.S. tracks are well groomed with the cameras set up to show blinding speed which has apparently given me a false sense of speed from the U.S riders vs. the MXGP riders.

I'll continue to watch and cheer for the home team while enjoying being able to see some of the tracks that I've only been able to read about for the last 30 years.

I missed the live feed and still haven't seen the second moto (in case anyone has a link handy) but it was definitely the first time I looked up mxgp results.

No, watched some on Mav TV(?) a few years ago. The coverage was pretty piss poor and US MX Nats was more exciting. Not saying the racing wasnt good but it looked like a High School TV production.

My first complete, I've always found the announcing sleepy.
I did subscribe to a new sports package that carries then and will watch them.

In the old days I did watch the USGP on WWoS, wow, what a treat it was to watch that!

I do love the European tracks, don't let Qatar fool you, incredible tracks are coming.
Give the announcers some RedBull, and get a second mike.

PS that was a shocking race. I think Alessi should do them, the tracks are not super technical, they are super cool.

I have watched them in the past, I used to go to Ireland here and there for work. That's where I got interested in JH, then I met him at one of our local tracks here in Ca, he was a super nice dude! I was actually shocked to see that the US coverage seemed better there than here. go figure….

First one, pretty tough to watch but I appreciate any coverage. Need to get themselves some scaffolding or something for camera tower usage.

Although I have followed them since the 1970's like many of you, but this was the first time I have watched the modern broadcast and Ike i said in the TV thread, I am glad i bought the live stream and have access to the races anytime I want, in HD. I was super impressed with the speed in the MXGP class-there are some bad dudes on the gas riding true works bikes and I find that super cool. The track got real rough and they were still laying the wood to it. I am very excited to watch the rest and even though RV brought me the series, I think I will be more inclined to follow the series for years to come. I would love to travel to a GP one day soon.

Not my first time to watch them. It was always fun to watch some great riders on some pretty cool tracks.
Never have cared for the endless babbling at turbo speed and this was no exception and had to turn the sound down again. I can't even imagine how bad it would be if two or more guys were battling for the lead for most of the moto.

I'm more interested to see how serious the US interest drop will be if RV continues to struggle.

This was the first GP I gave a crap about, and I'm looking forward to more!

First one for me! I was surprised that it was so similar to our racing here in the US. I thought there would be a sidecar class, mid-race beer chugging, and definitely a forward-falling gate. Looks like RV was surprised by that last part, too. .

First time I've watched all 4 motos. i've watched a few races prior to this.
I did spring for the MXGP-TV package. I think it's worth it.

I've watched them going back to when Speed used to run them . If I remember right they didn't run them till the series was actually over. I also have some Duke vhs tapes and dvds of the 80s and 90s GPs

I feel you will see a different struggle this week. RV will be fired up and have the bike corrected....

Watched GPs for as long as I can remember. AMA mx and sx for maybe 10 years... Just the media attention and the websites for the american racing are so much better. I know a lot of American amateur riders 50s 65 85 supermini schoolboy and above you get to learn those riders years before they turn pro. In Europe it very hard to keep track of this I can name a few riders but every year there's GP riders or EMX250 EMX125 riders i had never heared about before.
