The 27?

The new 250"E" number 1?

Who?

Do they, Kawasaki, put anyone on it?

Monster pays a lot of money to have those bikes out there...so...?

Hmm. If they put Nick Wey on it, would he use it as a comparison of the difference in bike setup between Villopoto and Reed?

Seems pointless to even send the rig up to Seattle if ya ask me. Very little to gain, lots to lose.

I'm with Tiki... I'll ride that thing like a raped ape from the gate to the first corner and then back to the semi. That's my favorite part anyway.

Why do they need to put anyone on it? The series is all but over. It's just more dollars for them to have to spend to go to the races with a rider that isn't going to make the podium.

Why do we all-of-a-sudden have to have a substitute rider every time a factory guy gets hurt?

Because the sponsors like MONSTER and all the other companies that PAY their bills want them there for exposure......i.e. they want their advertising dollars to be utilized. How would you feel if you gave a team like Monster Kawi say 100k to put your company on the rig, rider, and bike and have them not show to the races? .....Your money is wasted.

Besides it's not Kawi's dollars that would be spent its the teams race budget that is a collective of all the companies you see on the bikes and haulers. Like caltrans they are spending money that was put in the budget to be spent for the season. If they weren't going to the races who gets to pocket the cash saved from not going? Im sure the sponsors don't get back a pro-rated amount when the teams don't show. Its in the sponsors best interest to have the team and bikes there regardless of who is riding them .....that is why there are substitute riders when the main guys get hurt.
