Made the trip out to the infamous Snowshoe GNCC last weekend and WOW, GNCC is something else. The atmosphere, the fans, and the riding are pretty unique and something everyone should try to experience at least once! As far as the riding and racing, it couldn't be any more different than SoCal and the desert. The mud, rocks, zero traction, and the number of riders on the course made it very difficult for this SoCal desert racer but I had a blast! Check out some footage from the 3 hour Pro race!

That is awesome. Screw all them wet rocks. What place did you end up getting?
Those wet rocks will haunt me for the rest of my life haha

Ended up 15th XC2 and 101 Overall completing 5 laps.

Bro there is a clip of Thad Duval looking like a complete C rider on some slick rocks, just revenge his bike and going nowhere. Snowshoe just looks like a different animal. Wonder if anyone ventured to run a gummy tire?

How was the dirt? I did high pint last year and it was so slick compared to the dirt here in sc. felt like I was riding on ice. Not to mention the rocks.

It was dusty with very little visibility in the open sections. The woods were mostly greasy rock sections and mud. There wasn't much dirt!

The Snowshoe is a brutal race! Broken bikes and riders litter the track and the smell of burned up clutches permeates the air. When I was on the line for the afternoon race, it started snowing! My buddies & I rented a luxury room in one of the condo”s, stayed over Sunday nite .... got hammered and chilled in the hot tubs all nite... took a very scenic drive back home to upstate NY on Monday, very memorable weekend.... but that race was brutal!

Rode 50A in the morning race. I live in Kentucky which has nothing but rocks and roots. I thought that would prepare me somewhat for snowshoe- not even close. Those rocks are like nothing I’ve ever ridden. Brutal race!

Dirt is non-existent at snowshoe! Either greasy mud in the trees or slick hard pack on the ski slopes.

I asked about gummy tires but everyone says they won't last the full 3 hours. I believe someone did run one in the morning race or maybe the afternoon race and it lasted though.

You did good man! Those greasy bridges are worse than the rock gardens.

Great video Trevor! That little hill up to pro pits was no joke. Between the PM ATV and PM Bike races I hit that spot 4 times while riding sweep and think I only made it through clean my first time. Last lap of the quad race it had gotten pretty tough and only got tougher Sunday afternoon.

Thanks for coming out and great running into you guys again.

A gummy tire would have lasted the 3 hours. I would have ran one with a mousse bib rather than tubeliss. You would’ve been fine.

I raced the 50+ A class in the morning race. I really liked the track, minus the dust. It really wasn't that different from what i'm use to riding here in eastern upstate NY.

The whole weekend + , and the resort itself was a great experience. I will be back.

The group I was with, all used a Pirelli mt16 rear and Bridgestone m59 front. None of us had any complaints. That combo worked great in the rocks and mud.
