I would have to say Dungey`s Boss. Decoster rode the the tracks in FL during the early 70`s Trans Ams like he was on pavement. And that was with half the travel in whooped out sand.

How you gonna say that after naming Albertyn as one of the smoothest and fastest you have seen?!?

Fast? Yes.

Smooth? Albee was a 2 wheeled steam roller with a bad euro style!

I have to go with Bayle. His SX and MX smoothness were pretty damn amazing. 250 SX, 250 MX and 500 MX titles all in the same year.

No, the only new school riders who are actually smooth is Ryan Dungey and Kevin Windham the other are still trying to gain speed! Short is trying but his arms dont like it!

I grew up at the Orlando Sports Stadium and never missed watching the Europeans race that rough ass track when they dominated MX. Decoster was by far the smoothest although Ake Johnnson wasn`t too shabby himself. On the other hand, John Desoto was without a doubt the total opposite but he still hauled ass. Put Decoster, in his prime, on today` bikes and I would bet his style/speed and Dungey`s would would be about the same.

Dunno...

It's a toss-up: even the Man would proll'y pick JMB...

Bailey and a few others may belong in there.

Hell, Joel Robert.
