Update. This bike had a knock when bought and figured out why. One of the power valves broke off and was rubbing against the piston. Not too much damage to the cylinder. But should I run it and the head or send it to millennium? Also can someone I.D these forks? They are supposedly off of a later model, but they also look stock to me. And was the brake line routing under the axle and behind? Or is this been rigged up?

The brake looks 'stock'. I would end up changing it myself, steel braid, shorter routing. Up to you though!

Forks and brake routing are stock. Honda had the patent on the brake routing until a couple years later. Rerouting it with a current brake line will give you better results. You got a project on your hands...

Could quite easily be 2001 through 2004 forks.

2001 and 2002 had different spring lengths to the 2004, I can remember that much

Looks like that cylinder will need a replate. Sending it off seems to be a good bet thenones I’ve seen come back looking brand new. Head should go too. Bike builds are fun I bought an 89 cr250 that ran well and it still cost me $3k to build it haha. Best not to keep track of expenses while building these old bikes !
