I've got a 2010 18' Carson Fun Runner that I picked up for about $7k. It's got everything I need for desert trips, has been reliable, and is easily towed with a half-ton pickup.

I'm with you. I have a Carson Titan 24' that I bought a few years ago for $6200. I had to do a little work, but it's more than fine for moto camping. These are well built. durable haulers based on my experience. I used to rent and was able to try out various brands. I like the Weekend Warrior, Carson, and Attitude's the best. We had a Gearbox and it seemed like everything broke on it all the time. The other 3 mentioned were all the most durable. I also found that the more nice amenities a trailer had, the more stuff broke. Best is to go simple and durable. JMHO
x3 on the Carson Fun Runner. I had a 20' that I bought brand new in 2004 for about $12K. It was comfy enough and lasted for years before we decided to sell it. No issues. I don't really beat up my stuff, though.

I bought mine from Jeff Couch's RV Nation in Hamilton, Ohio. It was the best deal around.

Thanks! We really enjoy it. I also have a Harley Road Glide, so we use it for trips with that as well. It pulls great behind my Colorado (V6) and get's decent mileage. With it only being 3200 lbs and aerodynamic, that really helps.

As someon who bought a partially converted enclosed trailer it's a bigger pain than I expected to finish it out. Time being much of the issue plus interior fixtures aren't cheap for decent stuff.
The PO put RV heater in and cooktop Heater is really nice to have stove stinks it up. I am thinking I should've just gone toyhauler sometimes.

The best "cheap mod" I mad is buying some foldable legs for my ramp door. Once we unload I can set the door level with the floor of trailer for a raised deck. Cost $20 and extremely useful.........

we've used one of these since 2011 and had excellent luck with it. They're about 50% more expensive than the regular toy haulers but I think well worth it.

I looked all over at toy haulers when I sold my pop up but was dead set on having a separate garage, or atleast a wall. To me, the campers with the garage as part of the camper, felt like a box trailer. Atleast with a box trailer its better built than a camper. Take a look at the keystone kargaroo trailers. They're a bit harder to find used, and what I found was people wanted almost as much for used ones as they were going for new in 07-09 era in 2016. I wanted to be able to pull it with my half ton truck. They have the garage in the front, side ramp door, enough room for 2 maybe 3 bikes if you squeeze, and then its a bedroom when you dont have bikes in it. The rear has a full size slide out bed too.

I ended up buying a 28 foot model rather than the 23 foot one I was set on because it was a screaming deal used (half the price of all the 23 footers I found, just over 7k in mint shape), but my half ton did not like towing it. 6800 or so dry, gvwr of 8600. By the time you go through the hitch weight on a half ton with the 28 footer, you're almost at the 7k GVWR of the truck. I have no idea how ford gets by with claiming such high tow ratings on half ton trucks. I upgraded to a 2500 diesel and yeah, the 5.3 silverado pulled the camper, the 2500 diesel does it much smoother and safer.

If you want small, your only options are Carson and Dune Sport. Maverick posted his nice Dune Sport on the first page. Carson makes generic small toy haulers but you pay a base price and then add on what you want.

Dune Sport only makes custom trailers. You will only order what you want and the price will be much lower than the Carson after options. We ordered and waited 12 weeks. We are 14x8 with queen bunk. I can go into further if you wish. Cost was about 16k and we got everything we wanted

Light, well built, love the layout. Fits a couple bikes, wife and a dog with ease.

Haha, I think I could of stuck with the half ton but it was asking a lot of it. Made out really well at 16k off sticker on a new 2016 LML LTZ Crew cab, Drove it for 2 years, 28k miles on it, traded it in for 2300$ less than I paid new on an 18. Was an upfront expense to getting into the diesel but my half ton was for sure costing me more than 100$ a month to drive.

Got to meet Matt a week ago. What a great guy! Good rider and excellent human. He's a Marine no longer on active duty. You know what they say about Marines? You can have no better friend and no worse enemy. That describes Matt to a "T."

How do you secure your bike in there with just the D-rings?

I purchased the next size up the FSX 260rt, been pulling it around with a 08 F-150 with a 4.6 all season GVW is 4800lbs. I can fit 5 bikes or 3 bikes and a golf cart. I got mine for 18k . I like my FSX, made going to the track an entirely different experience.

I put the bikes wall to wall in the back with the couched flipped up or I will strap one down in the kitchen area. 2 kids, one that races, a wife that isn't exactly the out doors type makes the weekends tolerable.

If you look at my 3rd picture down, you will see my removable chock (Wheel Chock) on the ground, outside of the trailer. I put that on the floor, roll the front wheel in that, then use the D-rings with the Pro Taper brand swivel tie-downs. I have used a few different chocks over the years, and this one has been the best and most versatile. It has a wide foot print that allows the bike to stand up straight, so I can load by myself, and it adjusts for 17", 19", and 21" wheels. I hauled my Harley Road Glide down from IL to FL at the end of September, and I had no issues over the 1200 mile trip. I can also take it out and throw it in the bed of my truck if I am just doing a practice day.

Thank you sir, I appreciate the kind words! Great meeting and hanging out with you. Gotta love the southern hospitality.

And remember what MARINE stands for.... "My Ass Rides In Navy Equipment" Haha!

I have a 2013 KZ MXT 302 Toy Hauler that I'm selling. We've had it for 2.5 years. Never had a problem with it. Everything always works perfect.
It has a separate garage with a wall so that all your stuff stays locked up at night. Can fit a golf cart and a bike in the bike at the same time plus a bunch of other stuff. I'm just going to get a 5th wheel most likely is the only reason I'm selling it.

I have tons of pics and videos if anyone is interested in it. Text/call either is fine 205-292-2788
