Guys that use knee braces, what are you using? I have the sleeves that I got with my Asterisks but they don't seem like they will holdup that well. Most of the long socks look kinds kinky, almost like they need a garter belt to go with them and they look like they would be hot.

sleeves. I fold the top back over the brace so it stays in place. If they don't stay in place order a size smaller.

I’m using Alpinestars knee guards rather than braces but the straps utterly destroy the back of my knees from rubbing up against them every time i bend my knees. I wear knee high socks but they’re not cutting it so have been contemplating going with the weird looking thigh highs i think you’re referring to. Have some of the same concerns around getting too hot but at this point I’m not sure i have any other choice. Not sure i can take much more abuse. Have also considered just ditching them altogether. I like having the added protection but wearing them has completely taken all the fun out of my riding lately.

Interested to hear if other have had the same issues and if they’ve managed to find any viable solutions.

I have the Fox long sock version and they've held up really well so far.

I wear legit spandex or whatever. Full length pants. I don’t seem to be any hotter and I don’t have issues with socks sliding down or lack of coverage

This seems like the best solution, and then cut the liner out of your pants to save on the heat buildup.

I'm in the full spandex pants camp. I think mine are Malcolm Smith brand. My calves are skinny compared to my thighs. The sleeves and socks just wouldn't stay up for me. I was never hotter with them on either.

Walmart has compression pants for 11.00 dollars they are perfect for knee braces and the are very Airy (is that even a word?) They feel super comfortable. I put them on over my socks and they help hold ur socks up and braces in place. Also feels good with your pants they help keep everything from chafing. They never sag or slip and the boys stay pretty comfortable and ventilated. I flip those on instead of under roo's. For $11.00 dollars ther is no reason not to try them.

As others have mentioned...way easier than socks or sleeves and they stay in place.

Good stuff here guys, Thanks. I'll head out to Walmart tomorrow. I figure since I'm a cheap bastard Walmart is a good way to see if I want to go higher end.
