From Team KTM Factory Services One Industries Facebook page:

" Sleeter to work on racing a 250 two stroke at Seattle SX. Lets hope the team can get this together it would be fun to hear that sound"

KTM has done well with the 2 stroke over seas against the 4 stroke 450's. The small race tracks suite the 2 stroke and lightness more than outdoors do.

I thought that Marmont was riding a 450?
It's says that he was riding a 250sx.

So much for that. I thought it was my son in 04 at Dallas.

If there's more than one participant, then we have a conspiracy.

Which almost always leads to a revolution, which leads to statues toppled,

heads rolling and townspeople raising pitchforks and burning branches.

This "tea-party" movement, within motocross, solidly devoted to the

sanctity of the plastic Ratio-Rite measuring device - and the beloved taste

of the two-stroke tingle on the nostril hairs, has arisen a fury within motocross

personnel, inciting action and rapid thumb twiddling. Rock on Sleetdawg.

Keep dreaming, Rupp. The guys with the slanted eyes are gonna keep you down. They've sold their elixers to the credulous masses. It'll be that nasty sound of overweight, overly-complex bikes until death do us part.

The way the tracks are so tight and impossible to pass this year, a two stroke might be an advantage in some places!

I don't think so.

The two stroke will absolutely be at a disadvantage on the entire track.

YEAH !!!

And a boost bottle and a radial head and a paddle tire and a 23" front wheel and

44mm Mikuni with papyrus reed-induction and a skunkworks linkage with 18"

shocks giving 13.5 inches of suspension travel and the side-panels off a 420cc

Kawasaki protecting the rotary valves and twin carbs of a Puch 125 with the

Boyesen link'd countershaft disc from a prototype ATK and a Penske water-cooled

shock and Simons forks..........I need to put down the '70's mags and jug of coffee.

Sorry.

In my dream world we'd have 250 2T in SX and 450 outdoors. IMO the 450 suck in SX from this fans perspective but they're awesome outdoors. I also know that the OEM are not interested in 2T as they are heavily invested in the 4T.
