Welp, that was a tad unexpected but it's interesting to see how deep the 250 East field ended up being when compared to the West class. A total of six riders carrying a two digit number didn't even make the 40 man night show in Minneapolis. Kilroy and Kessler were making their Supercross debuts, having earned their two digits number due to their 2021 Pro National points. The other four riders however have a good amount of Supercross experience.
Also, Kyle Bitterman finished second in the Kicker Arenacross series this year but was only able to qualify 63rd while series champ Kyle Peters qualified 12th in Minneapolis.

A lot of guys will miss the night show.

The problem is counting them towards earning a national/career number. IMO, they shouldn't have changed that rule.
If the regional titles aren't acknowledged in the record books, why should the points earned in a regional series be counted towards earning a national number?
I could be wrong, but i swear no one had 2 digits unless you where a top top 10 rider. and a far majority of young kids coming in had 3 digits.
this isn't bad mouthing any rider, genuinely curious.
By 2 digit numbers he is talking about the guys who finished top 100 in the points the year b4 thus getting issued numbers 20-99 the following season.
yeah no definitely do not mean it all in a a bad way hahaha
but also as mentioned, i dont recall seeing so many 2 digit numbers in previous years
